Systems, devices, methods, apparatus and computer-accessible media for providing optical imaging of structures and compositions

Exemplary systems, devices, methods, apparatus and computer-accessible media for providing and/or utilizing optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) and fluorescence of structures and, e.g., multimodality imaging using OFDI techniques and fluorescence imaging techniques are described. For example, an arrangement can provide at least one electro-magnetic radiation to an anatomical structure. Such exemplary arrangement can include at least one optical core and at least one cladding at least partially surrounding the fiber(s). A region between the optical core(s) and the cladding(s) can have an index that is different from indexes of the optical core(s) and the cladding(s). The arrangement can also include at least one apparatus which is configured to transmit the radiation(s) via the optical core(s) and the cladding(s) to the anatomical structure.

SIMPLE MONOLITHIC OPTICAL ELEMENT FOR FORWARD-VIEWING SPECTRALLY ENCODED ENDOSCOPY

Exemplary spectrally encoded probes are provided having forward view capabilities. These probes are configured such that the detection element comprises a plurality of light collecting components, where the distal ends at least partially surround the illumination element and the proximal ends form a linear array that is optically connected to a dispersive component.

In an embodiment an optical arrangement includes a multicore fiber having at least a first fiber core configured to guide a first illumination light and a second fiber core configured to guide a second illumination light, wherein the multicore fiber comprises a fiber scanner configured to deflect the multicore fiber or the multicore fiber is followed by a mirror scanner; and a wavelength dispersive beam combiner configured to spatially superimpose the first illumination light and the second illumination light in an object space.

Apparatus for implementing confocal image using chromatic aberration lens

The present disclosure relates to a confocal imaging apparatus using a chromatic aberration lens, which is capable of quickly implementing multiple tomographic images by making it possible to quickly scan the entire object without moving the light source or the object. Since the present invention is configured to generate a three-dimensional image using multiple tomographic images by a chromatic aberration lens without moving the light source or the object up and down, there is an effect of remarkably shortening the time it takes to implement the multiple tomographic images.
