Ultrasound transmitting and receiving device and computer readable medium storing ultrasound transmitting and receiving program
An ultrasound transmitting and receiving device that can determine whether a contact state between a probe and a bolt is normal without relying on the skill of an operator is provided. The ultrasound transmitting and receiving device includes a probe control unit, an auxiliary storage device, and a contact state determination unit. The probe control unit causes a probe to transmit ultrasound to a bolt, and causes the probe to receive an echo of the transmitted ultrasound. The auxiliary storage device stores one or more pieces of comparison data to be compared with echo data indicating the echo received by the probe. The contact state determination unit compares the echo data with the comparison data, and determines a contact state between the probe and the bolt based on a comparison result.
ULTRASONIC TESTING APPARATUS WITH VARIABLE FREQUENCY
The present invention relates to an ultrasonic testing apparatus with a variable frequency, which can automatically change the frequency according to thickness and thereby detect internal defects in objects having various thicknesses. The ultrasonic testing apparatus may comprise: a nozzle jetting a medium toward an object so as to form a medium column; and a plurality of probes disposed in the nozzle so as to generate ultrasonic waves.
Apparatus for analyzing the particulate matter content of an aerosol
An apparatus for analyzing the particulate matter content of an aerosol includes an aerosol chamber configured to receive an aerosol, the particulate matter content of which should be analyzed, at least one ultrasonic generator configured to produce ultrasonic waves in the aerosol received in the aerosol chamber, an ultrasonic detector configured to detect ultrasonic waves produced by the at least one ultrasonic generator in the aerosol, and an evaluator having a data exchange communication link with the ultrasonic detector and configured to ascertain the matter content on the basis of signals output by the ultrasonic detector. The ultrasonic generator and the ultrasonic detector are positioned relative to one another such that a path length to be traversed by ultrasonic waves between the ultrasonic generator and the ultrasonic detector is less than 1 cm.
Apparatus for determining a level and/or quality of a fluid in a fluid container
Various embodiments include determining a level of a surface of a fluid and/or for determining a quality of the fluid in a fluid container. An example apparatus comprises a sound transducer module having two sound transducers designed to receive and emit sound signals in such a manner that a superimposition sound signal results when the sound signals are superimposed, and a reference element arranged in the fluid at a predefined distance from the sound transducer module and is designed to reflect the superimposition sound signal. The sound transducer module is designed, by superimposing the at least two sound signals, to emit the superimposition sound signal both in a first direction to the surface of the fluid and in a second direction to the reference element, said second direction running at a predetermined sound signal angle with respect to the first direction.
Ultrasonic sensor
In an ultrasonic sensor that is attached to a body component, a negative electrode line connected to a negative terminal is isolated from a shielding portion. The shielding portion is connected to a ground potential point without being connected to the negative electrode line.
WET GAS HOLDUP GAS FRACTION AND FLOW METER
A method for determining multi-phase flow properties of a fluid is disclosed. The method includes measuring a first time for a first ultrasonic signal to be emitted from a first transducer into the fluid, reflected off an inner surface of the pipeline, and received back at the first transducer. Measuring a second time for the first ultrasonic signal to be emitted from the first transducer into the fluid and received at a second transducer. Calculating, using the first time and the second time, at least one of: a liquid to gas ratio, a fluid density, a gas holdup, a liquid holdup, and a fluid velocity of the fluid flowing through the pipeline.
ACOUSTIC PARTICLE SIZER DIP PROBE AND IMPROVED SAMPLE HOLDER
An ultrasonic pulse transmitter is provided that is configured to transmit an ultrasonic pulse through a target liquid medium. A receiver is also provided. Per one embodiment, a reflector is coupled to an automated positioner that moves the reflector to select different positions at select distances from an ultrasonic transceiver. A holder is provided that is configured to maintain the pulse transmitter at a controlled position in relation to the target liquid medium, and that is configured to be carried. In one embodiment of a method, ultrasonic pulses are transmitted through a target liquid medium. The transmitted ultrasonic pulses are then received. A vessel is provided to hold the liquid medium without the use of a seal on the vessel.
Ultrasonic target for the purposes of non-destructive inspection
An ultrasonic target, including a main reflector, the main reflector including three main faces, extending from a main vertex, the main faces forming a main trirectangular trihedron; defining a main base plane, lying facing the main vertex, and forming a base of the main trirectangular trihedron; the target including at least one auxiliary reflector fastened to the main reflector, the or each auxiliary reflector including three auxiliary faces, extending from an auxiliary vertex, the auxiliary faces forming an auxiliary trirectangular trihedron; defining an auxiliary base plane, lying facing the auxiliary vertex, and forming a base of the auxiliary trirectangular trihedron.
Method of calibrating a concentration sensor
A method for calibrating an ultrasonic sensor including a transducer, a reflector spaced a known distance from the transducer, and a memory. A water bath is heated to approximately fifty centigrade and the ultrasonic sensor is at least partially submerged in the water bath. When submerged, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted through a portion of the water bath from the transducer. The ultrasonic wave is transmitted toward the reflector and a reflected ultrasonic wave is received back at the transducer. A time of flight of the ultrasonic wave is measured. A calibration coefficient is determined based on the time of flight of the ultrasonic wave and an expected time of flight of the ultrasonic wave. The calibration coefficient is loaded into the memory of the ultrasonic sensor.
