Apparatus for Detecting Analyte in a Liquid Sample and Method Thereof
20180011079 · 2018-01-11 ·

The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in liquid sample, including: a collection chamber, including an opening for collecting a liquid sample; a testing element for testing the analyte in liquid sample; and a cover for covering the opening of the collection chamber; wherein the apparatus further includes a prompting device for prompting if the cover is covered to a specified location, and the prompting device shall at least includes a first element and a second element, the first element is in contact with the second element, wherein one element vibrates to produce a sound. In some preferred ways, the second element produces friction with the first element, to cause one of the elements to generate vibrations. The apparatus in the present invention can allow the prompting sound to be clear and loud.

Antiviral composition for SARS-CoV-2 containing cannabinoids as active ingredient

The present invention relates to an antiviral composition and a screening method thereof for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that occurred in Wuhan, China in 2019. An extract from leaves or unfertilized female flowers of Cannabis sativa L. or its fraction, and the cannabinoids (CBDs) molecules isolated from it have high binding strength and stability to SARS-CoV-2 MP.sup.pro, thereby inhibiting its action as the main protease, to provide a useful lead molecule that can be used alone or in combination with other drugs to treat SARS-CoV-2.

A kit for colorimetric identification of one or more cannabinoid compounds is disclosed. The kit includes at least two cannabinoid sensitive visualization reagents and a colour reference chart that may have at least two discernable colours, A method is also provided for colorimetric identification of one or more cannabinoid compounds in a liquid sample. The method includes contacting the liquid sample separately with at least two cannabinoid sensitive visualization reagents; allowing the at least two cannabinoid sensitive visualization reagents to develop for a defined amount of time; and comparing the resulting colour change of the at least two cannabinoid sensitive visualization reagents to a colour reference chart.

Systems and Methods for the Detection of Phenolic Cannabinoids

Systems and methods for detecting Δ.sup.9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ.sup.9-THC) are described. In many embodiments, the detection of Δ.sup.9-THC can be achieved by oxidizing Δ.sup.9-THC to corresponding oxidized products. The oxidation of Δ.sup.9-THC can be achieved chemically or electrochemically. The oxidized products of Δ.sup.9-THC can exhibit different photophysical and electrochemical properties compared to Δ.sup.9-THC. Many embodiments implement integrating Δ.sup.9-THC detection into a multimodal marijuana breathalyzer device.
