FLOAT ANGLE PROBES FOR MONITORING WELLBORE FLUID COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A method includes conveying a wellbore fluid into a container of a wellsite system, the container having a float angle hydrometer housed therein and the float angle hydrometer including a buoyant structure, and a measuring component housed within or attached to the buoyant structure. The method further includes determining one or more fluid properties of the wellbore fluid with the float angle hydrometer based on an inclination of the buoyant structure within the wellbore fluid, the one or more fluid properties including at least one of density, specific gravity, or fluid level.
PROBE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING FRESH CONCRETE USING AN ELECTROMECHANICAL ACTUATOR
There is described a probe for monitoring fresh concrete received in a drum of a fresh concrete mixer. The probe generally has an electromechanical actuator having a frame mounted within the drum and a moving element actuatably mounted to the frame, the moving element having a fresh concrete interface exposed within the drum and experiencing a resistance to movement within the drum upon actuation of the electromechanical actuator with an electrical signal; and a measurement unit measuring a resistance response during the actuation and generating a response signal based on the measured resistance response, the generated response signal comprising monitoring Information concerning the fresh concrete within the drum, if any.

Method and apparatus for using a gas density sensor to measure and control gas mixture composition
An apparatus for measuring the composition of a gas mixture containing known components, including a first gas density sensor configured and arranged to measure the density of a first mixture made by combining a gaseous first component and a gaseous second component; a second gas density sensor configured and arranged to measure the density of a second mixture made by combining the first mixture with a gaseous third component; and a processor programmed to determined based on data from the first gas density sensor the relative compositions of the first component and the second component in the first mixture, and to determine based on the data from the second gas density sensor the relative compositions of the first mixture and the third component in the second mixture, and thus to determine the relative compositions of the first component, the second component, and the third component in the second mixture.
Methods and System for Measuring Density of Fresh Concrete
The method for determining density of fresh concrete inside a drum of a mixer truck involves a probe mounted inside the drum, extending in a radial orientation of the drum and being moved circumferentially as the drum rotates. The method has: receiving first and second pressure values indicative of normal pressures exerted on the probe by the fresh concrete at corresponding and different first and second circumferential positions of the drum during rotation of the drum; and determining a density value of the fresh concrete based on the volume of the probe and on a difference between the first and second pressure values.
Fuel sending unit for fuel-type detection
A method and device are disclosed for fuel-detection by a fuel sending unit by placing a fuel sending unit in a first position from a second position, and releasing the fuel sending unit from the first position such that a buoyancy characteristic of a fuel sending unit float prompts the fuel sending unit to the second position. A rate-of-travel of the fuel sending unit is sensed from the first position to the second position to produce fluid travel data, wherein the rate-of-travel being affected by a fuel density. Fluid-type identification data may be generated based on the fluid travel data.
