Self calibration by double signal sampling

A current transformer (CT) for the purpose of, for example, current measurement, that uses a power line as a first coil and a second coil for measurement purposes, is further equipped with a third coil. Circuitry connected to the third coil is adapted to measure a signal therefrom. The measured signal from the third coil is compared to a signal measured from the second coil and based on the results, internal CT parameters are determined allowing calibration of actual results to expected results thereby providing an improved accuracy. This is especially desirable when using the CT for measurement of the like of current or phase of the primary coil when measurements are adjusted using the newly determined calibration parameters.

Current control device

A current control device brings, after a target current has been changed to an upper side, a solenoid into a full-on state at a first timing that arrives in a predetermined control transition cycle shorter than an on-off cycle, determines whether an excitation current has become equal to or larger than a full-on threshold larger than the target current, brings the solenoid into a full-off state at a first timing that arrives in a predetermined energization switching cycle shorter than the on-off cycle after the excitation current has become equal to or larger than the full-on threshold, determines whether the excitation current has become equal to or smaller than a full-off threshold smaller than the target current, and causes a transition to a steady control at a first timing that arrives in the control transition cycle after the excitation current has become equal to or smaller than the full-off threshold.

POWER DETECTION CIRCUIT AND CONTROL CIRCUIT

A power detection circuit is provided for detecting current total input power of a resonant circuit. The power detection circuit includes a detection circuit and an estimation circuit. The detection circuit receives a current signal and obtains resonant-slot baseband power according to the current signal to generate the baseband power value. The current signal represents a resonant-slot current generated by the resonant circuit. The estimation circuit receives the baseband power value and estimates the current total input power according to the baseband power value to generate an estimated power value.

Self calibration by signal injection

A current transformer (CT) for the purpose of, for example, current measurement, that uses a power line as a first coil and a second coil for measurement purposes, is further equipped with a third coil. Circuitry connected to the third coil is adapted to inject a known reference signal to the third coil of the CT. The injected reference signal, i.e., current, generates signals in the first and second coils of the CT. The signal generated in the second coil is compared using circuitry attached thereto to the reference signal. Based on the results, and the difference between the expected results and the actual results, updated calibration parameters are determined. These provide improved accuracy when using the CT, for example for measurement of the like of current or phase of the primary coil when measurements are adjusted using the newly determined calibration parameters.

Measuring Apparatus, On-Chip Instrumentation Device and Measuring Method

This application discloses a measurement apparatus that does not use a femtosecond laser light source and a delay stage. The measurement apparatus mixes a first laser light from a first CW laser light source and a second laser light from a second CW laser light source to generate an interference light having a beat in a range from GHz to THz and demultiplexes the interference light into a pump light and a probe light. A generating photoconductive antenna is irradiated with the pump light, and a detecting photoconductive antenna is irradiated with the probe light. A current value of an electromagnetic wave propagating through a waveguide connecting the generating photoconductive antenna and the detecting photoconductive antenna is measured using a current system connected to the detecting photoconductive antenna.

A self-oscillating modulator is coupled to the secondary DCCT winding of the DCCT to maintain a magnetic flux density of the DCCT at an upper limit and a lower limit of a magnetic hysteresis characteristic of the DCCT. An active filter passes only the DC and the low frequency AC from the DCCT as an output. An AC current transformer (ACCT) including a primary ACCT winding and a secondary ACCT winding. The output of the active filter is coupled to the ACCT and the secondary ACCT winding provides the high frequency AC.

A voltage measurement device for pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals is provided, which includes a conversion circuit and a processing circuit. The conversion circuit receives a first PWM signal and a second PWM signal from a motor driving device, and converts the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal into the absolute value signal and the polarity signal of the line-to-line voltage signal between the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal. The processing circuit converts the polarity signal and the absolute value signal into a first integral signal and a second integral signal, and reconstructs the line-to-line voltage signal according to the first integral signal and the second integral signal so as to obtain the reconstructed voltage signal of the line-to-line voltage signal.
