Determining a plurality of installation positions of a plurality of radio devices

A method, apparatus and computer readable storage medium are provided for determining the installation positions of radio devices. Signal propagation time parameters are obtained with each signal propagation time parameter associated with an installation position and an observation position. Each signal propagation time parameter represents a respective signal propagation time value of radio signal(s) traveling between the respective installation and observation positions. A signal propagation time parameter is selected for defining a coordinate system. First point coordinates are selected to represent the installation position associated with the selected signal propagation time parameter, and second point coordinates are selected to represent the observation position associated with the selected signal propagation time parameter. For each installation position represented by the first point coordinates, respective point coordinates are determined that represent the respective installation position at least partially based on the signal propagation time parameter and the first and second point coordinates.

In a wireless local area network (LAN) system, a sensing session comprises a first burst and a second burst, wherein, in the first burst, a transmitting STA may transmit a first sounding signal to a first receiving STA and a second receiving STA. In the first burst, the transmitting STA may receive, from the first receiving STA, a first feedback frame comprising first channel information between the transmitting STA and the first receiving STA, and, from the second receiving STA, a second feedback frame comprising channel information between the transmitting STA and the second receiving STA. In the second burst, the transmitting STA may receive a second sounding signal from the first receiving STA. In the second burst, the transmitting STA may receive, from the second receiving STA, a third feedback frame comprising channel information between the first receiving STA and the second receiving STA.

Geo-locating of wireless devices using a binning function

A method for determining a geo-location of a target station is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of RTTs over a plurality of successive time intervals. Each successive time interval is equal to a predetermined amount of time. The plurality of RTTs is placed into a plurality of bins. Each bin has a predetermined time width and a count of RTTs placed in the bin. A bin with a highest count of RTTs (maxCb) and another bin with a next highest count of RTTs are selected and a maximum count ratio determined. The bin with maxCb to a maximum bin value is set based at least on a predetermined threshold of the maximum count ratio. During a next successive time interval, the RTTs that are placed in the bin that is set to the maximum bin value are selected to determine the geo-location of the target station.
