SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCATING MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES WITH EAR-WORN DEVICES
Embodiments herein relate to ear-worn devices that can be used to locate other devices such as mobile electronic devices. In a first aspect, an ear-worn device is included having a control circuit, a microphone in electrical communication with the control circuit, an electroacoustic transducer for generating sound in electrical communication with the control circuit, a motion sensor in electrical communication with the control circuit, and a power supply circuit in electrical communication with the control circuit, wherein the ear-worn device is configured to issue a location command to a mobile electronic device and wherein the location command triggers the mobile electronic device to emit a locating signal. Other embodiments are also included herein.
BASE STATION AND SIGNAL TRANSMISSION CONFIGURATION METHOD, AND SIGNAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
The present embodiments relate to a method and device for obtaining location information of a terminal by using a wireless communication system. Provided according to an embodiment is a device for acquiring the location information of a terminal, the device comprising at least one downlink signal receiver, at least one uplink signal receiver, and a controller for controlling the downlink signal receiver and uplink signal receiver, wherein the controller configures uplink resource assignment information on the basis of control information received by the downlink signal receiver and determines whether an uplink signal is received, on the basis of the uplink resource allocation information.
Light device with beacon for positioning
A system and a method for operating a lighting device may include a transmission device and an optional communication unit. The transmission device may be configured to wirelessly transmit a radio signal with identification data specific to the transmission device of the lighting device via at least two radio channels. The transmitted radio signal transmitted via a respective one of the at least two channels may include channel data with respect to the respective one of the radio channels. In a non-limiting embodiment, the transmission device is a beacon.
PRACH-BASED PROXIMITY DETECTION
Improvements to signaling procedures for use in physical random access channel (PRACH)-based proximity detection are disclosed. Signaling and signaling processes from a serving base station may trigger a more efficient and reliable transmission of PRACH from related user equipment (UE). At the dynamic power nodes (DPNs) monitoring for such PRACH-based proximity, features are disclosed which establish neighbor lists for more efficient management of detection and proximity activation.
Method for locating a geo-tag
A method for managing transmission of a location of a first geo-tag capable of communicating with a second geo-tag, the tags being classified in several respective categories, the first tag being associated with a first category. The method includes implementing following steps in the first tag: a. detecting a proximity between the first geo-tag and the second geo-tag; b. obtaining the category associated with the second tag; c. transmitting, to the second tag, a request to transfer management of the transmission of the location of the first tag, if the obtained category belongs to a second tag category.
User presence-enabled tracking device functionality
A tracking system can provide configuration instructions to an electronic device based on user presence. The tracking system can determine a user's location relative to a geographic boundary surrounding a geographic area associated with the user. Depending on the user's location, the tracking system may send instructions to configure an electronic device to send a notification or change the operating mode of the electronic device in response to the user's presence. The electronic device may be a scanning device that is configured to have a higher or lower scanning frequency, depending on the presence or absence of the user relative to the scanning device.
ASSET TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Technologies for tracking the location of mobile assets include a tracking device mounted to an asset and radio-frequency identification tags installed or attached to static structures. The radio-frequency identification tags include identification data stored thereon. The identification data is associated with the installed location of the corresponding radio-frequency identification tags. The tracking device includes one or more transceivers configured to energize or trigger the radio-frequency identification tags and receive the stored identification data when the tracking device and asset are in proximity to the tags. The current location of the mobile asset is determined based on the identification data received from the radio-frequency identification tags.
Method and Apparatus for Determining a Lateral Vehicle Position
A method for determining a lateral position of a vehicle passing a road and carrying a transponder uses at least two antennas mounted at different lateral positions and connected to a processor and comprises: triggering the transponder and recording signals from responses of the transponder by the processor, each signal being received via one of the antennas and recorded as i) a time of receipt at said one antenna and ii) the lateral position of said one antenna; generating by the processor a regression curve fitting all recorded signals; and determining by the processor the lateral position of the vehicle from the generated regression curve. An apparatus implementing said method is also disclosed.
Method and apparatus for acquiring location information of terminal through wireless communication system
The present embodiments relate to a method and an apparatus for acquiring location information of a terminal by using a wireless communication system. An embodiment provides an apparatus for measuring location information of a terminal, the apparatus comprising: at least one downlink signal receiver; at least one uplink signal receiver; and a controller for controlling the downlink signal receiver and the uplink signal receiver, wherein the controller configures uplink resource allocation information on the basis of control information received by the downlink signal receiver, and determines, on the basis of the uplink resource allocation information, whether to receive an uplink signal.
TRIGGERING THE COLLECTING AND/OR USING OF CALIBRATION DATA
An alert indicates that a situation conducive to calibrating a barometric pressure sensor of the user device might have occurred. In response, calibration data is collected for calibrating the barometric pressure sensor. The calibration data is used to perform a calibration process and generate a calibration value for the barometric pressure sensor.
