A first lens group (G1) having positive refractive power, a second lens group (G2) having negative refractive power, a third lens group (G3) having positive refractive power, a fourth lens group (G4) having negative refractive power, and a fifth lens group (G5) having positive refractive power are arranged in order from an object, and zooming is performed by changing distances between each lens group, and the first lens group (G1) is composed of three or more lenses, the fourth lens group (G4) is composed of two or less lenses, and the fifth lens group (G5) is composed of two or less lenses and moves to an image surface side upon zooming from a wide angle end state to a telephoto end state, and the following conditional expression (1) is satisfied.

From an object side to an image side along an optical axis, the optical lens includes: a first lens having a positive focal power and a convex object side surface; a second lens having a negative focal power; a third lens having a negative focal power; a fourth lens having a negative focal power; a fifth lens having a positive focal power, an object side surface of the fifth lens is convex at a paraxial region thereof, and an image side surface of the fifth lens is concave at a paraxial region thereof; a stop disposed between the second and third lens; and a filter disposed between the fifth lens and an imaging plane. The camera module includes the optical lens and an image sensor, and the camera includes the camera module.
