TRANSMISSION UNIT AND LIDAR DEVICE INCLUDING IMPROVED OPTICAL EFFICIENCY
A transmission unit for a LIDAR device for emitting collimated beams into a scanning area. The transmission unit includes at least one beam source for generating beams in the form of a beam bundle, the beam source being designed as a surface emitter or an emitter array, and a transmission optical unit including at least one lens. The transmission unit includes a diaphragm including at least one aperture, which is configured to delimit a cross section of the beam bundle of the generated beams in a horizontal direction and/or a vertical direction. The at least one lens of the transmission optical unit is situated downstream from the diaphragm in the emission direction of the beams. A LIDAR device is also described.
LIGHT-EMITTING APPARATUS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
To provide a light-emitting apparatus capable of shaping light from a plurality of light-emitting elements into light with a plurality of shapes and a manufacturing method thereof. A light-emitting apparatus according to the present disclosure, including: a substrate; a plurality of light-emitting elements which are provided on a side of a first surface of the substrate; and a plurality of first lenses which are provided on a side of a second surface of the substrate and on which light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting elements is incident, wherein the plurality of first lenses include at least two types of lenses among a concave lens, a convex lens, and a flat lens.
Laser radar
A laser radar includes: a light source including a laser diode; an optical system configured to shape laser light emitted from the laser diode, into a line beam that is long in one direction, and project the line beam to a target area; and a scanner configured to perform scanning with the line beam in a short side direction of the line beam. The laser diode is disposed such that a fast axis of the laser diode extends along a direction corresponding to the short side direction of the line beam.
CHIRPED BRAGG GRATING ELEMENTS
Apparatus and methods for altering one or more spectral, spatial, or temporal characteristics of a light-emitting device are disclosed. Generally, such apparatus may include a volume Bragg grating (VBG) element that receives input light generated by a light-emitting device, conditions one or more characteristics of the input light, and causes the light-emitting device to generate light having the one or more characteristics of the conditioned light.
Light emitting device
A light emitting device includes a base, a lid portion, a plurality of semiconductor laser elements, and a collimate lens. The lid portion is fixed to the base to define a hermetically sealed space by the lid portion and the base. The semiconductor laser elements are provided in the hermetically sealed space. The collimate lens has a non-lens portion fixed to the lid portion, and a plurality of lens portions connected and aligned along one direction and surrounded by the non-lens portion when viewed from a light extracting surface side of the collimate lens.
LASER SOURCE ASSEMBLY AND LASER PROJECTION APPARATUS
A laser source assembly is provided. The laser source assembly includes a plurality of lasers, a light combining assembly and a fly-eye lens. The fly-eye lens is disposed on a light exit side of the light combining assembly, and is configured to homogenize laser beams. The fly-eye lens includes a plurality of first microlenses located on a light incident surface thereof and a plurality of second microlenses located on a light exit surface thereof. A sine value of a divergence angle of a laser beam in a fast axis direction is greater than a sine value of an aperture angle of a first microlens in a slow axis direction, and a sine value of a divergence angle of the laser beam in the slow axis direction is greater than a sine value of an aperture angle of the first microlens in the fast axis direction.
Laser beam combining device
A laser beam combining device includes an emission optical system that emits a plurality of circular laser beams propagated coaxially and having mutually different wavelengths, and a diffractive optical element that is concentric and diffracts the plurality of circular laser beams. The diffractive optical element diffracts the plurality of circular laser beams in accordance with the wavelengths of the circular laser beams, such that local diffraction angles of diffracted light of the plurality of circular laser beams incident at mutually different local incidence angles are equal to each other.
LINE PATTERN PROJECTOR FOR USE IN THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISTANCE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A line pattern projector includes a light source array, a lens and a diffractive microlens array. The light source array includes a plurality of light sources that emit light beams, wherein the plurality of light sources are arranged along a first direction. The lens is configured to collimate the light beams. The diffractive microlens array (MLA) is configured to diffract the collimated light beams thereby to project an illumination pattern, wherein a lens pitch of the diffractive MLA with respect to the first direction is wider than a lens pitch of the diffractive MLA with respect to a second direction. The illumination pattern is formed by overlapping multiple dot patterns that are projected by the light sources; and the illumination pattern includes a plurality of line light patterns in the first direction.
HIGH BRIGHTNESS FIBER COUPLED DIODE LASERS WITH CIRCULARIZED BEAMS
Apparatus include a plurality of laser diodes configured to emit respective laser diode beams having perpendicular fast and slow beam divergence axes mutually perpendicular to respective beam axes, and beam shaping optics configured to receive the laser diode beams and to circularize an ensemble image space and NA space of the laser diode beams at an ensemble coupling plane. In selected examples, beam shaping optics include variable fast axis telescopes configured to provide variable fast axis magnification and beam displacement.
Single Element Dot Pattern Projector
Disclosed herein are single element dot pattern projectors with a meta-optics. The projectors include a laser light source and a metasurface chip integrated onto the laser light source. The metasurface chip includes metasurface elements spaced apart from the laser light source by a distance equal to the collimating function focal length of the metasurface chip. the laser light source produces light which is diffracted through the metasurface elements to produce a dot pattern. Projectors enabled by meta-optics lead to unique methods of integrating the meta-optic and unique functionality that can be added to the dot pattern.
