Object provided with an electro-optic display device
An object includes an electro-optic display device provided with an optically active element, the optical properties thereof can be modified by applying an electric voltage or current between at least one electrode and one corresponding auxiliary electrode, between which the optically active element is disposed. The object further includes a middle part which delimits an opening closed by a crystal including a bottom surface beneath which the electro-optic display device is arranged. The crystal is provided with an opaque frame which is made remotely from the edges of the opening and which covers the contour of the electro-optic display device so as to conceal electrical connection elements. The electro-optic display device defines an active display area which is confined by the opaque frame, such that, when the electro-optic display device is activated and displaying information, a transparent area remains between the opaque frame and the edges of the opening.
EDGE-TO-EDGE DISPLAY WITH A SENSOR REGION
A portable information handling system housing integrates a display having an edge-to-edge presentation of visual images at a housing portion with an inactive portion of a display panel along a perimeter of the display having a sensor region that provides access to underlying sensors through the display. A sealant and black matrix disposed in the inactive region limits illumination that escapes from an active region and provides an aesthetically appealing edge-to-edge appearance. Openings in the sealant and black matrix at the sensor locations provides access through the display, such as with index matching resin that passes illumination and a patterned covering of the black matrix.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate having a pixel electrode and a common electrode provided thereon; a second substrate formed of a resin material; a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate; an optical film facing the liquid crystal layer with the second substrate being provided between the optical film and the liquid crystal layer; and a conductive layer facing the second substrate; wherein the optical film is provided between the conductive layer and the second substrate.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device including a first substrate, a semiconductor layer, a second substrate and a color filter is disclosed. The first substrate has a peripheral region. The semiconductor layer is disposed on the first substrate in the peripheral region. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The color filter is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and in the peripheral region of the first substrate, and the color filter overlaps the semiconductor layer.
Tiled display device
Provided is a tiled display device including a plurality of display devices each having a display panel including a plurality of pixels and a support plate disposed under the display panel, a lower cover including an alignment hole and coupled to a lower portion of the support plate of each of the plurality of display devices, and a first coupling member including a base portion fixed to the support plate and a first coupling portion protruding from the base portion and passing through the alignment hole. A diameter of the first coupling portion is smaller than a diameter of the alignment hole.
Display Device
The display device removes a step of a display panel, a support member, and a cushion plate to increase a rigidity and prevent moisture permeation.

Display device and printed circuit board
A display device includes a display panel, a printed circuit board attached to the display panel and including a ground potential supply terminal, a circuit, and a wiring pattern electrically coupling the ground potential supply terminal and the circuit, and a housing that contacts a coupling place provided to the wiring pattern and is attached to the printed circuit board through the coupling place. The wiring pattern includes a terminal wiring pattern electrically coupled with the ground potential supply terminal, a circuit wiring pattern branched from a branch part at a predetermined position on the terminal wiring pattern and electrically coupled with the circuit, and a housing wiring pattern branched from the branch part of the terminal wiring pattern and electrically coupled with the coupling place, and the circuit wiring pattern and the housing wiring pattern are uncoupled with each other at any place other than the branch part.
Display device having conductive tape connecting window or display panel to metal layer
A display device includes a display panel, a window, a metal layer, and a first conductive tape. The display panel includes a display area, a non-display area, and a bending area disposed between the display area and the non-display area and bent such that the non-display area overlaps the display area. The window is disposed on a first surface of the display panel and includes a protruding portion overlapping the non-display area. The metal layer is disposed on a second surface of the display panel. The second surface is opposite to the first surface. The first conductive tape connects the protruding portion of the window to the metal layer.
