An image forming apparatus to form a toner image on a recording material includes a photosensitive member and an optical scanning unit. The optical scanning unit includes an optical scanning unit, an optical box, a cover member, and a moving unit movable to an outside of the image forming apparatus. The optical scanning unit and the moving unit are arranged so that the moving unit and the optical scanning unit are opposed to each other when the moving unit is located in an inside of the image forming apparatus. Between the optical box and the cover member, the cover member is opposed to the moving unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member that is rotatable, a substrate, a lens array, a holder, and a conductive member provided on the holder. The substrate includes a plurality of light-emitting elements, a driver integrated circuit (IC), and a wiring pattern. The plurality of light-emitting elements is arrayed in a rotational axis direction of the photosensitive member to emit light to which a surface of the photosensitive member is exposed. The driver IC drives the plurality of light-emitting elements. The wiring pattern includes a supply line that supplies power to the driver IC and a ground wire that grounds the driver IC. The lens array collects the light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting elements on the photosensitive member. The holder holds the substrate and the lens array, is grounded, and is made of metal. The conductive member electrically connects the holder and the ground wire.

A developing treatment apparatus for performing a developing treatment on a treatment object substrate. The developing treatment apparatus includes: a rotating and holding part that holds and rotates the treatment object substrate; a discharger that discharges a predetermined solution relating to the developing treatment to the treatment object substrate held on the rotating and holding part; and a destaticizer that supplies ions ionized by an X-ray to the predetermined solution discharged to the treatment object substrate held on the rotating and holding part, to destaticize the predetermined solution.

An image forming apparatus includes a photoconductor, an exposure device, and a shutter assembly. The exposure device includes a light source configured to expose the photoconductor. The light source is repositionable between a proximity position at a first distance from the photoconductor and a separation position at a second distance from the photoconductor. The first distance is less than the second distance. The shutter assembly is configured to move away from the light source in response to the light source moving toward the proximity position. The shutter assembly is configured to move to cover the optical path of the light source in response to the light source moving toward the separation position.

The present invention provides an image forming apparatus including: a first moving member pressed and moved by an openable/closable member when the openable/closable member is opened, and switching a cartridge from a state where the cartridge is positioned in an image forming position to a state where the positioning is released; and a second moving member pressed and moved by the openable/closable member when the openable/closable member is opened, and moving the exposure member from an exposure position to a retracted position, wherein when the positioning of the cartridge is released, a reaction force applied from the first moving member to the openable/closable member reaches a first peak, when the exposure member is moved to the retracted position, a reaction force applied from the second moving member to the openable/closable member reaches a second peak, and timing of the first peak is different from timing of the second peak.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus housing, and an imaging module that is removably installed in the apparatus housing. The imaging module includes an image carrier unit that is capable of carrying an image, an image writer unit that writes an image on the image carrier unit, and a module housing that registers and removably holds the image carrier unit and the image writer unit.
