HYPERPIGMENTED LOW MELT TONER
A low melt toner includes a core having a core polystyrene-butyl acrylate resin, a crystalline polyester resin, a pigment present in an amount from about 7% to about 20% by weight of the low melt toner, and a paraffin wax; a ratio of the polystyrene-butyl acrylate resin to crystalline polyester resin is in a range from about 5:1 to about 7:1; and a shell disposed over the core including a shell polystyrene-butyl acrylate resin.
ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPING TONER
An electrostatic latent image developing toner includes a plurality of toner particles each including a core and a shell layer covering a surface of the core. The shell layer includes a resin film and a plurality of resin particles. The shell layer contains a first resin forming the resin film, a second resin forming the resin particles, and an alkyl benzene sulfonic acid compound. The first resin is more hydrophobic than the second resin. The second resin is more positively chargeable than the first resin. The second resin has a repeating unit capable of forming a salt with the alkyl benzene sulfonic acid compound.
BRILLIANT TONER, ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPER, AND TONER CARTRIDGE
A brilliant toner includes release agent domains meeting conditions (1) a length of the release agent domain in a longitudinal axis direction is 300 nm to 1,500 nm, (2) a ratio between the length in the longitudinal axis direction and in a short axis direction of the release agent domain is 3.0 to 15.0, (3) an angle between (a) a tangent line passing through a contact point of (a1) a circumference of a circle that is centered at a centroid of the release agent domain and is inscribed in an outer edge of the toner particle and (a2) the outer edge and (b) a line passing through the centroid and extending in the longitudinal axis direction is 0° to 45°, and (4) a ratio of a distance between the centroid and the contact point to an equivalent circle diameter of the toner particle is 0.03 to 0.25.
Fluorescent orange latex with enhanced brightness and toners made therefrom
Fluorescent orange latexes are provided which comprise water and fluorescent agent-incorporated resin particles, the particles comprising a resin, Solvent Red 49 as a red fluorescent agent, and Solvent Yellow 98 as a yellow fluorescent agent, wherein the fluorescent orange latex has a weight ratio of the Solvent Yellow 98 to the Solvent Red 49 in a range of from 20:1 to 0.5:1. Fluorescent orange toners and methods of making and using the fluorescent orange toners are also provided.
TONER
A toner comprising a toner particle that comprises a core particle comprising a binder resin and a surface layer comprising inorganic fine particles and an organosilicon polymer, wherein the organosilicon polymer has T3 structure represented by R—Si(O.sub.1/2).sub.3, in .sup.29Si-NMR measurement of THF insoluble-matter of the toner particle, a proportion of a peak area assigned to the T3 structure relative to a total peak area for the organosilicon polymer is at least 5.0%, and in observation of a cross section of the toner particle using TEM, the toner has a prescribed surface layer thickness, a prescribed number of inorganic fine particles in contact with the core particle in the surface layer, and a prescribed number of inorganic fine particles present in the core particle and not in contact with the surface layer.
TONER
The toner is a toner including a toner particle comprising a binder resin, a crystalline material, wherein, when a ratio of an area occupied by the crystalline material in a toner surface observed with a scanning electron microscope after ruthenium-staining the toner under a specific condition (1) is represented by S.sub.1 (%), a ratio of an area occupied by the crystalline material in the toner surface observed with the scanning electron microscope after ruthenium-staining the toner under a condition (2) is represented by S.sub.2 (%), and a dispersion diameter of a plurality of domains formed of the crystalline material on the toner surface observed with the scanning electron microscope after the ruthenium-staining the toner under the condition (2) is represented by R.sub.2 (nm), the following expressions (1), (2), and (3) are satisfied.
TONER
The toner contains a toner particle having a core-shell structure including: a core containing a binder resin and a colorant; and a shell, wherein the toner contains a crystalline material, and the shell contains an amorphous thermoplastic resin; and when SP values of the crystalline material and the amorphous thermoplastic resin, which are calculated by the Fedors method, are defined as SPc (J/cm.sup.3).sup.0.5 and SPa (J/cm.sup.3).sup.0.5, respectively, the SPc and the SPa (J/cm.sup.3) satisfy a particular relationship, and when the toner is observed by SEM after the toner has been subjected to ruthenium staining that treats the toner in an atmosphere of RuO.sub.4 gas having 500 Pa for 15 minutes, a ratio S2 (%) of an area occupied by the crystalline material per area of the toner satisfies a particular relationship.
TONER
A toner comprising a toner particle comprising a binder resin, a fatty acid metal salt particle on a surface of the toner particle, and a hydrotalcite particle on a surface of the toner particle, wherein the hydrotalcite particle comprises fluorine, the fluorine is present inside the hydrotalcite particle in line analysis of STEM-EDS mapping analysis of the toner, and when an area ratio of the fatty acid metal salt particle to the toner particle in an EDS measurement field, which is measured through the STEM-EDS mapping analysis of the toner, is defined as Si (%) and an area ratio of the hydrotalcite particle to the toner particle in the EDS measurement field, which is measured through the STEM-EDS mapping analysis of the toner, is defined as H1 (%), S1/H1 is 0.25 to 9.00.
Toner Comprising Reactive Charge Control Agent
An emulsion aggregation toner including a toner particle comprising at least one resin; an optional colorant; an optional wax; and a reactive charge control agent comprising at least one positive charging compound comprising a member selected from the group consisting of an amine compound having at least 3 carbon atoms, an ammonium compound having at least 3 carbon atoms, a phosphonium compound having at least 3 carbon atoms, a boronium compound having at least 3 carbon atoms, and combinations thereof; at least one reactive anchoring compound comprising a member selected the group consisting of amino, epoxy, carboxylic, hydroxyl, silanol, cyanide, anhydride, aldehyde, ketone, vinyl, and combinations thereof; and wherein the charge control agent optionally further comprises a negative charging compound comprising a member selected from the group consisting of aromatic carboxylic acid, silanol, phenol, pyranone, furanone, and combinations thereof.
Toner Comprising Charge Control Agent
An emulsion aggregation toner including a toner particle comprising at least one resin; an optional colorant; an optional wax; and a charge control agent disposed on a surface of the toner particle; the control agent comprising a phenyl based siloxane; and a complex formed from a metal ion donor and at least one of a ligand selected from a member of the group consisting of a polyaromatic acid comprising humic acid, a pyranone based ligand, a furanone based ligand, or a combination thereof.
