SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING THREE-DIMENSIONAL INFORMATION OF AN OBJECT FROM RECEIVED ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
An apparatus and method to produce a hologram of an object includes an electromagnetic radiation assembly configured to receive a received electromagnetic radiation, such as light, from the object. The electromagnetic radiation assembly is further configured to diffract the received electromagnetic radiation and transmit a diffracted electromagnetic radiation. An image capture assembly is configured to capture an image of the diffracted electromagnetic radiation and produce the hologram of the object from the captured image.
HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
Provided is a holographic image processing apparatus including a memory configured to store at least one instruction, and a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction stored in the memory to generate a corrected holographic image by correcting an original holographic image captured by a holographic camera based on a neural network configured to learn hologram correction in advance.

COMPACT DIGITAL HOLOGRAPHIC MICROSCOPE FOR PLANETARY IMAGING OR ENDOSCOPY
In situ investigation of microbial life in extreme environments can be carried out with microscopes capable of imaging 3-dimensional volumes and tracking particle motion. A lensless digital holographic microscope is disclosed that provides roughly 1.5 micron resolution in a compact, robust package suitable for remote deployment. High resolution is achieved by generating high numerical-aperture input beams with radial gradient-index rod lenses. The ability to detect and track prokaryotes was explored using bacterial strains of two different sizes. In the larger strain, a variety of motions were seen, while the smaller strain was used to demonstrate a detection capability down to micron scales.
COHERENT SKEW MIRRORS
Systems and methods for performing coherent diffraction in an optical device are disclosed. An optical device may include a grating medium with a first hologram having a first grating frequency. A second hologram at least partially overlapping the first hologram may be provided in the grating medium. The second hologram may have a second grating frequency that is different from the first grating frequency. The first and second holograms may be pair-wise coherent with each other. A manufacturing system may be provided that writes the pair-wise coherent holograms in a grating medium using a signal beam and a reference beam. Periscopes may redirect portions of the signal and reference beams towards a partial reflector, which combines the beams and provides the combined beam to a detector. A controller may adjust an effective path length difference between the signal and reference beams based on a measured interference pattern.
Method and system for recording digital holograms of larger objects in non-laboratory environment
A method for optimally producing a holographic image using a Holographic Optical Element (HOE) and the HOE meant for controlling directions and divergences of light beams to impart system compactness. The system uses concave and convex lenses and other beam expanding, splitting, modulating and combining optics for realization of compactness and high throughput. The thin laser beam is split using a holographic optical element and a conventional beam splitter. A neutral density filter adjusts the intensity of a reference beam to match the intensity of an object beam so that high quality digital holograms can be recorded. Effects of vibrations are minimized by the compact optical design, by anti-vibration mounts, by mounting all the opto-mechanical components on a single rigid platform and by enclosing the system. An electro-optical sensor array records holograms digitally and an algorithm numerically reconstructs and further quantifies the results using a personal computer/laptop/tablet etc.
DELIVERING PRE-RENDERED HOLOGRAPHIC CONTENT OVER A NETWORK
Delivering pre-rendered holographic content over a network is disclosed. A first camera view segment of a plurality of camera view segments that compose a holographic video is selected. Each camera view segment corresponds to a different camera view perspective of a scene and includes rendered holographic content that depicts a plurality of concurrent different viewer perspectives of the scene. The first camera view segment is streamed toward a holographic display for presentation of the first camera view segment on the holographic display.
