The device 100 obtains time data and environment data, and predicts a switch state on the prediction model. To match the predicted state, the device 100 causes a relay 103 to operate to turn on/off a lighting fixture 120. When the user operates the switch 110 and the state of the switch 110 has become inconsistent with the state predicted by the prediction model, the device 100 regenerates a prediction model automatically.
