System and method for controlling a valve manifold
A valve driver system for driving a plurality of valves of a valve manifold. The system includes a plurality of valve drivers, wherein each valve driver is configured to drive a zone of one or more valves of the manifold; and, a power board that separately powers the respective valve drivers such that the valve drivers are powered separately with a separate power source that can individually power the valve driver. A multiple safety zone valve driver system for driving a plurality of valves of a valve manifold. The system includes a plurality of valve drivers; a first safe PM output; and a second safe PM output. The first and second safe PM outputs are configured such that in response to a first type of safety event the first PM output shuts off power to the first one or more valve drivers and the second PM output maintains power to the second one or more valve drivers. A zoning adapter for adapting logical addresses of valve drivers to physical addresses of valves of a valve manifold. A conversion portion converts logical addresses to physical addresses of the valves in the different zones of the valve manifold with a spacing in one or more portions of the logical addresses.

Mass flow controller with advanced zero trending diagnostics
A diagnostics system, for mass flow controller calibration, comprising a controller communicable coupled to a sensor(s) and a valve. The controller controls the valve based on a predetermined set point value and communication from the at least one sensor. The controller determines a number of set point value adjustments and compares results of a calibration operation and a set point value plus a tolerance value. The controller generates a notification message indicating at least one of the predetermined number of set point value adjustments and results of the comparing. The controller calibrates the mass flow controller based on, at least in part, one of a predetermined number of set point value adjustments, results of the comparison, and user input. The notification message can comprise temperature values, valve drive values, sensor flow rate values, gas flow hours, and a remaining number of set point adjustments based on a total fluid hours.
Remotely controlling a hydraulic system
In one aspect, a system (110) for performing an action is disclosed. In one arrangement and embodiment, the system (110) comprises: a tool (118) operable to perform at least the action; a controller (122); storage (124) storing electronic program instructions for controlling the controller (122); and an input/output means (126). In one form, the controller (122) is operable, under control of the electronic program instructions, to: receive input via the input means; process the input, and on the basis of the processing, control the tool to perform the action. In one embodiment, the action comprises a hydraulic tuning action in respect of a system, such as a hydraulic pump (114), comprising a hydraulic circuit.
Application-based control of pneumatic valve assemblies
An electronic valve controller for an open-loop and closed-loop control of a valve island includes four or eight valve disks having pneumatic valves configured to perform a motion task. Applications for the open-loop and closed-loop control of the valve island can be loaded onto the electronic valve controller. The invention further relates to a valve assembly, which is controlled in an open-loop and closed-loop manner by an electronic valve controller, to a corresponding method, and to a system.
SIL RATED SYSTEM FOR BLOWOUT PREVENTER CONTROL
A control system for a subsea blowout preventer (BOP) positioned in a lower stack, the lower stack releasably engaged with a lower marine riser package (LMRP). The control system includes a surface logic solver positioned at or adjacent the surface of the sea that generates commands for operating the subsea BOP, a first subsea logic solver attached to the LMRP and in communication with the surface logic solver so that the first subsea logic solver receives the commands from the surface logic solver, and a second subsea logic solver attached to a hydraulic control unit in the lower stack. The second subsea logic solver is in hydraulic communication with the subsea BOP, and the first subsea logic solver so that the second subsea logic solver receives the commands from the first subsea logic solver and implements the commands by activating the hydraulic control unit to operate the BOP.
