Unit and switching film for regulation and control of a fluid pressure
A unit for the regulation for control of a fluid pressure, having at least one housing section and a switching film connected to the at least one housing section. A chemically inert, non-rubber-like PTFEswitching film switching film is disposed in the valve housing and switches at pressure differences of 1 mbar to 250 mbar for regulating, opening or blocking a flow of a fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The switching film is formed of a fluorine and carbon containing polymer material. The switching film has a plate-shaped flat body with a bending region and has a central closure region surrounded by the bending region. The bending region, when switching the switching film, moves the central closure region relative to a valve seat of the valve housing in an axial direction of the plate-shaped flat body toward or away from the valve seat by a stretch free or low-stretch bending movement.
Determining diaphragm life on a pressure regulator
Apparatus are configured to monitor lifespan of parts on a pressure regulator. These configurations may include sensors that generate signals in response to movement of parts on the pressure regulator. Processing circuitry can process the signals to identify data that corresponds to deflection of a spring inside of the pressure regulator. This data may correlate with duty cycle of a diaphragm. In one implementation, utilities can use the duty cycle to gauge useable lifespan of the diaphragm as well as other operating conditions that may prevail on the pressure regulator.
GAS PRESSURE REGULATOR VALVE
According to one embodiment a gas pressure regulator valve is provided that includes a valve body with an inlet gas conduit and an outlet gas conduit, a pressurized gas chamber into which the inlet gas flows after passing through a regulation valve and which is in fluid communication with the outlet gas conduit. The valve also includes a diaphragm having a central protuberance which houses a valve member. A closure cap closes the valve body. Adjusting means is provided for adjusting the regulated nominal pressure of the gas output from the regulator valve. An air chamber and the pressurized gas chamber are delimited in part by the diaphragm which is assembled and fixed between the valve body and the closure cap having the possibility of being axially displaced. The regulator valve further includes a rigid cover which covers the central protuberance, cooperating the cover with the closure cap in the event of an unexpected high pressure of the inlet gas to limit the displacement of the diaphragm.

Pressure regulator
What is disclosed is a pressure regulator having a mechanism to turn fluid flow through the pressure regulator on or off. The pressure regulator incorporates an actuator by which fluid flow to a pressure chamber that controls the linear movement of a flow tube is selectively actuated from one of a downstream supply and a pressurized fluid supply, such as an upstream supply. The actuator can be a manual, electromechanical, hydraulic or other form of actuator.
Actuator for a pilot valve
An actuator for a pilot valve, including a housing, a piston movably mounted in the housing and an actuator chamber defined between the piston and the housing. The actuator includes a control fluid feed for introducing a fluid into the actuator chamber to control fluid pressure, with the fluid pressure acting on the piston. The actuator also includes an actuation member for acting on the pilot valve and a loading spring between the piston and the actuation member. The loading spring is arranged to bias the piston against the fluid pressure in the actuator chamber. The control fluid feed controls the fluid pressure so the fluid pressure acts on the piston against the bias of the loading spring to control the biasing force.
Boiler fill valve with regulated fast-fill
A pressure regulator assembly has a normal mode and a regulated fast-fill mode and includes a spring cage and a body coupled together. The spring cage and body define an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet as well as an interior between the inlet and the outlet. A diaphragm assembly mounts in the interior for selectively closing a flowpath between the inlet and the outlet. A preload spring in the interior applies force on the diaphragm assembly so that in the normal mode, the flowpath is closed if a downstream pressure is above a first pressure. An actuation assembly includes a lever coupled to the spring cage and a push rod mounted so that in the regulated fast-fill mode, the lever slides so that the push rod further compresses the preload spring to open the flowpath and regulate flow therethrough if the downstream pressure is below a second pressure.
VALVE MECHANISM AND LIQUID EJECTING SYSTEM
A first valve mechanism is a valve mechanism provided in a flow path coupled to a liquid ejecting head that ejects a liquid, and including a valve that opens/closes the flow path, a first communication liquid chamber that communicates with the flow path, and a first pressure receiving body that converts a pressure difference between a pressure of the first communication liquid chamber and a reference pressure into an operating force of the valve, in which a threshold pressure of the first communication liquid chamber for determining opening/closing of the valve is variable.

The switching film (22) is made out of a polymer material having fluorine and carbon, in particular a thermoplastic having fluorine and carbon. In this arrangement, a hole cross-section (40) of the at least one housing section (13, 14) is closed off by the switching film (22).
