Memory device with status feedback for error correction

Methods, systems, and devices for a memory device with status feedback for error correction are described. For example, during a read operation, a memory device may perform an error correction operation on first data read from a memory array of the memory device. The error correction operation may generate second data and an indicator of a state of error corresponding to the second data. In one example, the indicator may indicate one of multiple possible states of error. In another example, the indicator may indicate a corrected error or no detectable error. The memory device may output the first or second data and the indicator of the state of error during a same burst interval. The memory device may output the data on a first channel and the indicator of the state of error on a second channel.

Facility management systems and methods thereof

A facility management system comprises a server, a biometric identification unit, and a processing circuit. The server is configured to store a list of registered users, and biometric information and access rights pertaining to each registered users. The biometric identification unit is associated with the building equipment. The biometric identification unit is enabled to facilitate a user desiring access to the associated building equipment to scan at least one biometric parameter, and subsequent to scanning of the biometric parameter the biometric identification unit is configured to generate a scanned biometric information. The processing circuit is communicatively coupled with the server and the biometric identification unit, and is configured to: authenticate the user based on the biometric information and the scanned biometric information; determine the access rights for the authenticated user; and subsequently provide access to the authenticated user to operate the associated building equipment based on the determined access rights.

Interactive electronic documentation for operational activities

Various embodiments support or provide for interactive electronic documentation (or an electronic document) for operational activities associated with a system or service, such as one monitored or maintained by a system administrator or engineer. In particular, some embodiments provide for an interactive electronic document associated with a runbook, which can comprise a set of actions (e.g., list of operations, procedures, steps, and the like) to be performed with respect to a system or service in connection with an operational event, such as a system/service incident, scheduled maintenance, or a support operation.

A memory system and a data processing system including the memory system may manage a plurality of memory devices. For example, the data processing system may categorize and analyze error information from the memory devices, acquire characteristic data from the memory devices and set operation modes of the memory devices based on the characteristic data, allocate the memory devices to a host workload, detect a defective memory device among the memory devices and efficiently recover the defective memory device.

System and method for improved fault tolerance in a network cloud environment

Described herein are systems and methods for fault tolerance in a network cloud environment. In accordance with various embodiments, the present disclosure provides an improved fault tolerance solution, and improvement in the fault tolerance of systems, by way of failure prediction, or prediction of when an underlying infrastructure will fail, and using the predictions to counteract the failure by spinning up or otherwise providing new component pieces to compensate for the failure.

Generating configuration corrections for applications using a classifier model

Methods and systems for detecting and responding to erroneous application configurations are presented. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes receiving a configuration for an application and receiving execution metrics for the application. The configuration and the execution metrics may be compared to a knowledge base of reference configurations and reference execution metrics and a particular reference configuration may be identified from the knowledge base that corresponds to the configuration. The particular reference configuration may represent an erroneous configuration of the application that needs to be corrected. A configuration correction may then be identified based on the particular reference configuration.

Datacenter component maintenance time tracking

Systems and techniques for tracking and providing real-time visualizations of maintenance time for datacenter components. The systems include sensors to detect when datacenter components are opened for maintenance, such as hot switching of hard drive disks, to initialize a countdown timer. Status indicator lights of components within the datacenter component are used to display visual representations of the countdown timer. The visualizations present a remaining or elapsed maintenance time remaining to ensure components of the datacenter component are not damaged by overheating during maintenance.

An abnormal state detection device includes: an acquisition unit that acquires an image imaging a device that outputs an abnormal state using an LED; an analysis unit that analyzes the abnormal state of the device based on the light emission pattern of the LED in the image, and generates auxiliary information indicating the abnormal state based on the analysis result; and a display control unit that outputs the auxiliary information to a display unit.

Identification and/or prediction of failures in a microservice architecture for enabling automatically-repairing solutions

A computer-implemented method according to one embodiment includes causing a failure event in each of a plurality of microservices of a system and collecting failure effect data associated with the caused failure events. A mapping is created detailing transition of the microservices between different states and the collected failure effect data is analyzed for creating the mapping. The method further includes outputting a predetermined notification in response to a determination that a first of the microservices is close to experiencing a predicted failure event, and outputting a suggested solution for repairing the system in response to a determination that the system has failed, using the mapping to identify a root cause of the system failure. Using the mapping to identify the root cause of the system failure includes identifying the microservices that caused the system failure.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NARROWING THE SCOPE OF A PROBLEM WHEN A MODEM IS BRICKED

Embodiments of the systems and methods disclosed herein relate to a modem having a processor including a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) driver. The UEFI driver can be configured to provide a software interface between an operating system for the modem and firmware for the modem. The modem can include a boot diagnostic driver configured to run from the UEFI driver and execute a diagnostic test when the modem is booting up. The boot diagnostic driver can be configured to generate a signal based on a result of the diagnostic test.
