METHOD AND APPARATUS TO PERFORM PACKET SWITCHING BETWEEN SERVICES ON DIFFERENT PROCESSORS IN A COMPUTE NODE IN A SERVER

A processor-to-processor agent to provide connectivity over a processor-to-processor interconnect between services/network functions on different processors on a same compute node in a server is provided. The processor-to-processor agent can intercept socket interface calls using a network traffic filter in the network stack and redirect the packets based on traffic matching rules.

Electronic device, processing proxy requesting method of electronic device, and information processing system

A system is dynamically configured according to a state of a device connected to a network. An electronic device includes a device information management unit, an acquisition unit, a detection unit, and a device cooperative processing unit. The device information management unit manages device information related to a different device connected through a network. An acquisition unit acquires surrounding information. A detection unit detects generation of a specific event on the basis of the acquired surrounding information. In a case where a function necessary for processing the surrounding information in response to detection of the specific event is not included in itself, the device cooperative processing unit selects a device including the function from the different device on the basis of the device information and gives a request for proxy of the processing thereto through the network.

Presently disclosed are systems and methods for generating customized filtered-and-partitioned market-data feeds. In an embodiment, an output-feed profile is maintained in data storage at a market-data-processing device (MDPD). The output-feed profile specifies a subset of ticker symbols and a ticker-symbol-based feed-partitioning scheme. An input feed of order-book updates to ticker symbols is received at the MDPD from an upstream device. At the MDPD, a customized market-data output feed is generated according to the maintained output-feed profile at least in part by filtering the input feed down to the order-book updates to ticker symbols in the specified subset and partitioning the filtered feed according to the specified ticker-symbol-based feed-partitioning scheme. The customized market-data output feed is transmitted from the MDPD to a downstream device.

Network interface device supporting multiple interface instances to a common bus

A network interface device comprises a programmable interface configured to provide a device interface with at least one bus between the network interface device and a host device. The programmable interface is programmable to support a plurality of different types of a device interface.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CHIP AND DATA OPERATION METHOD

An artificial intelligence chip and a data operation method are provided. The artificial intelligence chip receives a command carrying first data and address information and includes a chip memory, a computing processor, a base address register, and an extended address processor. The base address register is configured to access an extended address space in the chip memory. The extended address processor receives the command. The extended address processor determines an operation mode of the first data according to the address information. When the address information points to a first section of the extended address space, the extended address processor performs a first operation on the first data. When the address information points to a section other than the first section of the extended address space, the extended address processor notifies the computing processor of the operation mode and the computing processor performs a second operation on the first data.

Smart network interface card for smart I/O

A smart network interface card (SNIC) is provided. The SNIC may connect to an interconnect module (ICM) having at least two internal data paths. The SNIC and ICM determine a division of work between them. In general, NICs may be standard NICs, advanced NICs (ANICs), or smart NICs (SNICs). The ICM may perform a different amount of processing for network packets received from different devices based on the division of work previously identified. Some SNICs may preprocess network packets with respect to switching and routing processing to allow the ICM to bypass that functionality. Packets received from devices providing a division of work (e.g., SNICs) may receive reduced processing for functions offloaded to the SNIC. SNICs may utilize either a switching and routing group or a virtual bypass group such that data may bypass selected processing typically performed by the ICM.

COMPUTER SYSTEM, REMOTE CONTROL MONITORING SYSTEM, AND REMOTE CONTROL MONITORING METHOD

A computer system, remote control monitoring system, and remote control monitoring method are provided to instantly provide the local display screen of the local computer to the remote computer for remote real-time display. The remote control monitoring system is arranged in the local computer and has a signal receiver and a remote controller. The signal receiver receives the video signal from the processor, executes the signal transforming process to generate the video signal in different standards. The remote controller executes a network compressing process on the transformed video signal to generate the network transportable video data, and transmits the data to the remote computer for displaying the corresponding remote display screen on the remote computer. The present disclosure enables the implementing of the out-of-band remote displaying.

In one embodiment, a system includes a peripheral device including a memory access interface to receive from a host device headers of packets, while corresponding payloads of the packets are stored in a host memory of the host device, and descriptors being indicative of respective locations in the host memory at which the corresponding payloads are stored, a data processing unit memory to store the received headers and the descriptors without the payloads of the packets, and a data processing unit to process the received headers, wherein the peripheral device is configured, upon completion of the processing of the received headers by the data processing unit, to fetch the payloads of the packets over the memory access interface from the respective locations in the host memory responsively to respective ones of the descriptors, and packet processing circuitry to receive the headers and payloads of the packets, and process the packets.

Independent central processing unit (CPU) networking using an intermediate device

A computer device includes a central processing unit (CPU), a network adapter, a bus, and an intermediate device, where the intermediate device is coupled to both the CPU and the network adapter through the bus, and is configured to establish a correspondence between address information of an agent unit and address information of a function unit, and implement forwarding of a packet between the CPU and the network adapter based on the correspondence.
