A system and method are presented that improves search results based on skills associated with individuals. The system monitors an individual's contributions to a third-party forum and associates the contributions with skills. The system also monitors learnings received by the individual. Assignments are made to associate the individual with the skills and to assign points. Users request a search based on search skill parameters, and the system uses forum-based data and non-forum data to identify and sort individuals. Skill and point assignments are made temporarily, and assignments are deleted upon the expiration of a time-to-live clock. Save events can permanently save data. Local forum data is also stored and can be used to restore deleted assignments. Points are used to improve avatars used when interacting with searching users.

Decision making analysis engine

The automated collection of online data is enhanced by generating and saving a context between a document and a related named entity, as well as a credibility level of the online source. The context, credibility level, and quality and quantity of collected data are used to enhance the use of the collected data in automated decision-making. Both the quality and the quantity may be continuously updated and honed through machine learning. Three new algorithms—DUPES, CORRAL, and ONTO—have been introduced to support the above, improving current state-of-the-art engineering practice by sharpening the strategy for named-entity searching, for ensuring that topic modeling produces relevant topic tags, and for handling sentiment which may be NEGATIVE, POSITIVE, and NEUTRAL (which includes MISSING and INCONCLUSIVE).

The components may be based on actual actions, preferences, constraints, attributes, etc. A number of components of the respective end user are compared relative to a set of defined evaluation criteria that specifies defined evaluation criteria for at least some of those components. In response to detecting at least one discrepancy, a prompt is provided to the respective end user indicative of the discrepancy.

In particular, an enterprise server may receive the user question from the enterprise user, determine a suggested topic associated with the user question based on the enterprise knowledge graph by transforming the user question into a semantic representation to identify a plurality of similar entities within the enterprise knowledge graph, and determine whether a relevant question-and-answer (Q&A) pair linked to the suggested topic exists based on the enterprise knowledge graph. In response to a determination that the relevant Q&A pair does not exist, the enterprise server may determine a predicted answer to the user question and update the enterprise knowledge graph.

The predefined attribute types may be a predefined commodity group and a predefined commodity part.
