Sessions and groups
Athletic activity may be tracked while providing encouragement to perform athletic activity. For example, energy expenditure values and energy expenditure intensity values may be calculated and associated with a duration and type of activity performed by an individual. These values and other movement data may be displayed on an interface in a manner to motivate the individual and maintain the individual's interest. The interface may track one or more discrete “sessions”. The sessions may be associated with energy expenditure values during a duration that is within a second duration, such as a day, that is also tracked with respect to variables, such as energy expenditure. Other individuals (e.g., friends) may also be displayed on an interface through which a user's progress is tracked. This may allow the user to also view the other individuals' progress toward completing an activity goal and/or challenge.
Methods and apparatus for a window-metric rule
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for a window-metric rule for return path data (RPD). In some examples, a media monitor includes a count calculator to determine a first count of a number of devices in a first household that reported RPD for a first day. The example media monitor also includes an RPD selector to compare the first count to a current window-metric, the current window-metric associated with a window of time for the first household, the window of time associated with a content provider and having N number of days. The example RPD selector the RPD from the first household for the first day when the first count does not satisfy the current window-metric. The example media monitor also includes a report generator to generate a media exposure report using the RPD from the first household for the first day when the first count satisfies the current window-metric, independent of if the first household has heartbeat data available.
Generating a stitched data stream
Systems and methods provide for receiving a request for an alternate data stream of a plurality of individual data streams than an active data stream currently being displayed on a computing device, during display on the computing device of a stitched data steam comprising the plurality of individual data streams associated with a common audio timeline. The systems and methods further providing for determining a subset of the plurality of individual data streams of the stitched data stream associated with a time period of the active data stream in the common audio timeline, selecting the alternate data stream from the subset of the plurality of individual data streams, and providing the alternate data stream to the computing device, wherein the display of the active data stream on the computing device transitions to the alternate data stream on the computing device in the common audio timeline.
SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING USER-CENTRIC TREATMENT DATA
A system relating to medical treatment, such as hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, for determining user-centric treatment data includes a user device and a central device. The user device and the central device each include a wireless communication component. The wireless communication component of the central device and/or the wireless communication component of the user device is/are configured to distinguish between the user device being in a first location and the user device being in a second location, wherein the first location is associated with a treatment area and the second location is associated with a general purpose area. The user device and/or the central device is configured to determine, based on the user device being in the first location and/or the user device being in the second location, an overall treatment time and an overall spent time.
Method and Apparatus for Playing a Multimedia File From a Re-Positioned Playing Point
The present disclosure provides a method for playing a multimedia file from a re-positioned playing point, including: receiving a jump instruction, obtaining a re-positioned playing point specified by the jump instruction; obtaining a subtitle time axis of a current multimedia file, wherein the subtitle time axis records a start point of each subtitle of the multimedia file; in a jump direction specified by the jump instruction, searching start points recorded by the subtitle time axis for a start point which is closest to the re-positioned playing point as an actual re-positioned playing point; and playing the multimedia file from the actual re-positioned playing point. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus for playing multimedia file from a re-positioned playing point.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATION OF A TABLE OF CONTENT BY PROCESSING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT
The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods of generation of a table of content by processing multimedia content. The method includes identifying a set of key-phrases from the multimedia content based on one or more external data sources. The method further includes determining one or more segments of the multimedia content, based on the identified set of key-phrases, wherein a segment of the determined one or more segments comprises a subset of key-phrases from the set of key-phrases. The method further includes selecting at least a key-phrase from the subset of key-phrases of each of the corresponding one or more segments. The method further includes generating the table of content based on the selected key-phrase from each of the one or more segments, wherein the selected key-phrase from each of the one or more segments in the generated table of content is utilized to navigate through the multimedia content.
User interface for viewing targeted segments of multimedia content based on time-based metadata search criteria
A system and method for navigating digital media assets including a navigation system configured to receive a search query in response to a user input and process the search query by applying the search query to a search index of digital media asset conventional and time-based metadata and determining search results of titles of and start points in time within digital media assets that satisfy the search query. The navigation system may then display the search results to the user through the user interface. The search results may be displayed in a hierarchical format, wherein the title of the digital media asset is displayed and upon selecting the title of the digital media asset, the start points in time within that digital media asset are displayed or played as a video to the user through the user interface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING FOR DISPLAY RECOMMENDATIONS THAT ARE TEMPORALLY RELEVANT TO ACTIVITIES OF A USER AND ARE CONTEXTUALLY RELEVANT TO A PORTION OF A MEDIA ASSET THAT THE USER IS CONSUMING
Systems and methods are provided herein for displaying recommendations that are temporally relevant to activities of a user and are contextually relevant to a portion of viewed media. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application identifying activities a user has planned, as well as respective times for which each of the plurality of activities was planned to be performed by the user. The media guidance application may filter the activities by determining which of the first plurality of activities has a corresponding respective time that is within a threshold period of time. The media guidance application may then identify characteristics of each filtered activity and of a media asset that the user is consuming at the present moment, and may compute whether the characteristics match. If the characteristics match, the media guidance application may generate for display a recommendation relating to the respective activity.
Method and system for sharing digital media content
Methods and systems for generating and sharing media clips are described. Consistent with some embodiments, while a selection of digital media content (e.g., a movie, television program, audio track, and so on) is being presented at a media player, a user creates one or more sets of waypoints (e.g., time markers) that define the boundaries (e.g., beginning and end) of one or more media clips. These waypoints are communicated from one media player device to another, enabling the receiving media player device to retrieve and play back the media clips from a source other than the media player device where the waypoints were generated.
Forming event-based recommendations
Systems and methods for forming collaboration recommendations. Techniques for forming event-based recommendations use time-decayed event values. A shared content management system supports a plurality of users that generate events by interacting with content objects of the shared content management system. Events over the content objects are captured as event objects. Method steps are invoked upon receiving event objects that describes user-to-object interaction events that arise from interactions by users over content objects. Different types of interactions carry different importance values. The importance values can be applied as weights when scoring user-to-object interaction activities. The importance can decay over time. As time progresses and as the importance of older interactions decay, score components of a user-to-object interaction can be updated based at least in part on a time decay function. The system emits collaboration recommendations based on the decayed user-to-user collaboration scores.
