Obtaining artist imagery from video content using facial recognition
An example method may include receiving, at a computing device, a digital image associated with a particular media content program, the digital image containing one or more faces of particular people associated with the particular media content program. A computer-implemented face recognition program together with a set of computational models associated with the particular media content program may be applied to the digital image to recognize one or more of the particular people in the digital image, together with respective geometric coordinates for each of the one or more detected faces. At least a subset of the set of the computational models may be associated with a respective one of the particular people. The digital image together may be stored in non-transitory computer-readable memory, together with information assigning respective identities of the recognized particular people, and associating with each respective assigned identity geometric coordinates in the digital image.

Systems and methods are described herein for inserting emoticons within a media asset based on an audio portion of the media asset. Each audio portion of a media asset is associated with a respective part of speech, and an emotion corresponding to the audio portion for the media asset is determined. A corresponding emoticon is identified based on the determined emotion in the audio portion and causing to be presented at the location within the media asset.
System and method for access control using a plurality of images
Aspects of the invention provide, in some aspects, a method of face recognition that includes receiving plural frames of a video stream imaging a candidate individual, e.g., in the field of view of a camera, and generating for each of those frames a score of the image and/or of the candidate therein. This can include, for example, a score (or count) indicative of the number of individuals present in the frame, a pose of the candidate individual (e.g., face-on or otherwise), blur in the image, and so forth. The method further includes selecting, based on the respective scores of the frames, a subset of the frames for matching by a face recognizer against a set of one or more images of designated individuals. That set may be of individuals approved for access, individuals to be prevented for access, or otherwise. An output is generated, according to the method, based on such matching by the face recognizer.
Re-identification of physical objects in an image background via creation and storage of temporary data objects that link an object to a background
Re-Identification of physical objects in an image background is made possible by the use of temporary data objects (i.e., video cookies). Image data including an image object representing a physical object in at least one of a plurality of backgrounds is pre-stored in a database. Identification data for the image object and image background data is extracted from the image object and a comparison is made to determine if the identification data matches identification data in the database. In the event no match is found, a temporary data object is created and stored in the database that links the identification data and the image background data. If an identification data match is found, it is determined whether a temporary data object exists in the database. If no temporary data object exists, one is created and stored in the database. If a temporary data object is determined to exist in the database, it is determined whether the temporary data object fulfills a predetermined condition(s). If the predetermined condition(s) is not fulfilled, a default action is executed and if the predetermined condition(s) are fulfilled, a specific action is executed.
Video feed access determination
One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, a request from a user to access a video feed; determining, using a processor, whether: an authorized association exists between the user and an object associated with the video feed; and a predetermined condition is satisfied; and granting, responsive to determining that the authorized associations exists and that the predetermined condition is satisfied, the user access to the video feed. A user device transmit a natural language query with a request for a description of videos stored in a media repository. A query system receives the query and determines a command associated with obtaining the requested description of the videos stored in the media repository requested by the query. The determined command corresponds to an image analysis to perform on at least a portion of the stored videos. The query system determines, based at least in part on the determined command, an artificial intelligence model to execute on at least the portion of the stored videos. The query system determines, by executing the determined artificial intelligence model, a model output that includes the requested description of the videos stored in the media repository. The query system provides a response to the query. The response includes the requested description of the videos stored in the media repository.
