DUAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING NON-EXACTLY MATCHING TEXT
A computer-implemented method for matching user inputted text to stored text. The user inputted text is compared to each of the text strings stored in a database using a Levenshtein distance algorithm. For each comparison, the Levenshtein distance is analyzed to determine exact matches, non-matches, and probable matches. Probable matches are further analyzed using a keyboard distance algorithm to differentiate between matches and non-matches.
Systems and methods for updating rich internet applications
Systems, computer-implemented methods, and media for updating content of a page composed of markup language in response to a triggering event method include: receiving a request that indicates a triggering event; determining the type of triggering event based on the request; determining at least one page element from amongst plural page elements of the page to be updated based on the request; generating a response to the request, the response including metadata indicating the at least one page element and the content of the at least one page element, the content of the at least one page element being composed of the markup language; and transmitting the response.
System and method for encoding standard-formatted images with information
System and method for displaying an encoded standard-formatted image with information including, but not limited to, geospatial information. This information, possibly in mark-up language format, can be quickly accessed and used to modify the image to which it is appended, or it can be ignored because the image itself remains unchanged.
RESOURCE SIZE-BASED CONTENT ITEM SELECTION
Systems and methods for automatically determining a content item size may be based on a size of a viewport and a width of a parent element. A script may be configured to determine a size of a viewport, determine a width of a parent element of a resource, and determine a content item size based, at least in part, on the size of the view port and the width of the parent element. A dimension of the determined content item size may be used by a content item selection system to determine a set of content items. A content item selection system may select a content item from the determined set of content items and serve data to effect display of the selected content item in the parent element with the resource.
System, method and computer-readable storage device for providing cloud-based shared vocabulary/typing history for efficient social communication
An input method editor (IME) is associated with a local user. Memory stores local data and a processor, coupled to the memory, is configured to receive input from a local, first user, obtain shared data associated with at least a remote, second user from a remote server and generate prediction candidates and conversion candidates based on the input provided by the local, first user and correlation of the input and the obtained shared data.
Estimating effects of user interface changes on content item performance
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for content evaluation. In one aspect, a method includes identifying a first document object model for a resource, the first document object model being associated with a performance profile, the performance profile specifying performance factors for content item presentation positions of the resource. A first similarity measure can be computed for first document object model based on the first document object model and a second document object model for the resource, the second document object model for the resource being a previous document object model for the resource. A new performance profile can be computed for the resource if the first similarity measure does not meet a similarity threshold.
Automated form fill-in via form retrieval
A method of creating an electronic file corresponding to a printed artifact may include receiving an image file of a document page. The method may include analyzing the image file to detect a potential form identifier on the document page and automatically (without human intervention) performing a search to identify an actual form that corresponds to the potential form identifier. The method may further include validating that the image file is of a document page that corresponds to the actual form, locating a probable fill-in field on the document page and mapping the probable fill-in field to an actual fill-in field of the actual form.
Methods, systems, and computer program products for consolidating web pages displayed in multiple browsers
Methods, systems, and computer program products for consolidating Web pages displayed in multiple browsers at a computer processing device are provided. A method includes generating an information file in response to initiation of a browser instance and creating a file record for each web page accessed during the browser instance. The file record includes session history data for each web page. The method also includes consolidating each of the file records from the information file with other file records from another information file created in response to another browser instance. The method further includes displaying a single view of browser activity corresponding to the browser instance and the other browser instance resulting from the consolidation.
Method and apparatus for defining screen reader functions within online electronic documents
A computing system for facilitating screen readers of online electronic documents includes a processor running computer readable program code configured to generate a structured electronic document including markup language code and scripting language code whose execution is triggered by an occurrence of an event associated with execution of the markup language code. Memory stores a configuration file that maps of functions of a screen reader program to functions performed by the scripting language code when the scripting language code is executed in response to the occurrence of the event. The processor executes computer readable program code configured to incorporate the configuration file within structured electronic document. On a client system, a given function of the scripting language code executes in response to the occurrence of the event, and, in response to the execution of the given function, the screen reader program performs each accessibility function mapped to the given function.
Document scale and position optimization
Methods for optimizing a scale and position of a document in response to a user input is provided are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving an initial input request to scale a document to display a target portion of the document, and identifying at least one relevant portion of content at or near the target portion of the document. The method also includes adjusting a position and scale of the document while receiving the initial input request to an optimal position and to an optimal scale for viewing the at least one relevant portion. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.
