An image forming apparatus is provided that includes mechanisms for registering strings, extracting text information from received job data, determining a job availability of the received job data based on a comparison of the extracted text information with the registered strings, associating a result of the determination of job availability with the received job data and storing the result of the determination of job availability and the received job data; and controlling an execution of the received job data based on the result of the determination of job availability, in response to receiving an execution instruction of the received job data.

Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (“pre-print”), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate upcoming orders and information needed to complete the manufacturing process for the order. A controller enables a user to prepare control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing rolls of web product through the manufacturing process. Criteria filtering and/or various features enable generation of efficient and effective control plans for rolls of web product, including, in some cases, multiple orders. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, décor, and many others, can be achieved.

A printing apparatus includes a generation unit that generates a print job related to an increased portion of the number of prints in a case where the number of prints of a print job under printing is increased, and an addition unit that adds the print job generated by the generation unit to a position, from which a print job is taken and processed last, in a print standby queue where print jobs are processed in a sequential order, in order to minimize an influence on print end times of print jobs that are standing by in the printing apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a first controller and a second controller. The first controller is configured to control an operation of the overall information processing apparatus. The second controller is configured to control an operation of a device. When detecting a trigger of resumption from a power saving mode, the second controller notifies the first controller of the detection of the trigger, and starts to initialize a function corresponding to the trigger.

In accordance with one embodiment, a printing system comprises a memory, a processor and an interface. The processor rewrites the first information contained in the print data stored in the memory and designating a sheet stacking section at an end of a conveyance path of an image forming apparatus. The interface sends the rewritten print data to the image forming apparatus.

A method of transmitting contents stored in a mobile device may include displaying a list of the contents on a display screen, receiving a user input for selecting content to be printed, on the display screen, displaying a list of printers capable of printing the selected content, and a ‘send to delivery server’ item on the display screen, transmitting the content to a cloud server based on a user input for selecting the ‘send to delivery server’ item on the display screen, displaying a printing cost of the content on the display screen while the content is being converted into print data by the cloud server, receiving payment information of the printing cost and receiver information of a printout of the content, and transmitting the payment information and the receiver information to the cloud server.

A printing system includes a printer configured to perform an issuance process of issuing a cancel notification in response to detecting a cancel trigger, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by a processor connected with a communication interface, cause the processor to cancel a generating process of generating print data and a print instruction process of transmitting print instruction information to the printer via the communication interface, in response to acquiring the cancel notification issued by the printer, during the generating process.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor having a plurality of cores, each having different specifications. The image processing apparatus further includes a first estimator that estimates a processing capability of each of the plurality of cores, a second estimator that estimates, based on the processing capability of each of the plurality of cores, a required time for each of the plurality of cores to perform a specific process, and a controller. The plurality of cores comprises one or more candidate cores. The required time for each of the one or more candidate cores is equal to or less than a threshold. The controller controls one of the one or more candidate cores to perform the specific process. The required time of the candidate core that performs the specific process is the longest among the one or more candidate cores.

In a printing system, a print job data generating unit of an information processing device generates print job data that includes job settings data which includes at least one of mechanical initialization information and job registration information to be used in a printing machine and which is described in a format that can be parsed without performing RIP processing, and printing data in PDL format. An RIP preprocessing unit of the printing machine parses the job settings data included in the print job data to obtain at least one of the mechanical initialization information and the job registration information, and performs at least one of mechanical initialization requesting based on the mechanical initialization information and job registration based on the job registration information before an RIP processing unit performs the RIP processing.

There are provided an information processing apparatus and a control method which realize job holding processing while reducing time taken to complete transmission of a job. The control method includes not notifying a spooler of deletion of the job from a job queue after the spooler specifies that transmission of all of pieces of data corresponding to the job is completed and in a case where processing of the job is not completed by a communication apparatus.
