Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a printing section including a plurality of printing elements that performs printing on a medium; a power supply circuit supplying power to the printing section; a control circuit controlling the printing section and the power supply circuit; and a USB-Type-C interface configured to couple an external device and including a data transmission/reception terminal, a power input/output terminal, and a state identification terminal. When the state identification terminal detects that the external device that receives the power via the power input/output terminal is coupled, and the printing section performs printing, an amount of power supplied to the external device is large in a case in which a drive rate of the plurality of printing elements is low as compared with a case in which the drive rate of the plurality of printing elements is high.
Printing device holding print job without limiting level of electric power being supplied to external device
The printing device includes a printing unit, an interface, and a controller. In a case that a print job is received while electric power is being supplied to an external device from the interface, the controller determines whether a first condition or a second condition is met. The print job is for commanding the printing unit to execute printing. The second condition is different from the first condition. The controller executes printing based on the print job while limiting a level of the electric power being supplied to the external device from the interface in a case that the controller determines that the first condition is met. The controller holds the print job without limiting a level of the electric power supplied to the external device from the interface in a case that the controller determines that the second condition is met.
Printer, non-transitory computer-readable recording medium, and information processing system, for determining a number of print media printable with a rechargeable battery
A printer for issuing a print medium includes: a rechargeable battery configured to supply power to the printer; a printing part configured to print information on the print medium; a controller configured to determine a number of print media on which the printing part can print with present remaining battery capacity of the battery, based on information related to variation of remaining battery capacity of the battery relative to a number of print media that have been issued.
PRINTING ERROR DETECTION
In example implementations, a method, a device, and a program are provided. The method includes detecting a power increase movement of a printer carriage. A location of the printer carriage is detected at a time of the detected power increase. Based on the detected location of the printer carriage, determine whether the print medium is damaged. The device includes a power monitor to detect a power increase during movement of a printer carriage. A locator detects a location of the printer carriage at the time of the detected power increase. A damage determiner determines, based on the detected location of the printer carriage, whether the print medium is damaged. The program detects a power increase during movement of a printer carriage. Location of printer carriage is detected at time of detected power increase. Based on detected location of the printer carriage, it is determined whether the print medium is damaged.
Computer-readable medium, information processing device, and method for performing eco-printing
A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions executable by a processor of an information processing device including a user interface. The instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing device to accept via the user interface an operation for performing eco-printing, obtain related information on a plurality of setting items for the eco-printing, and when accepting the operation for performing the eco-printing, automatically set print parameters for the plurality of setting items for the eco-printing, based on the obtained related information.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes at least one piece of image forming apparatus and a server. The at least one piece of image forming apparatus transmits a sleep notification when entering a sleep mode which is a power saving state, and transmits a wake-up notification when returning from the sleep mode to a non-power saving state. The server monitors the sleep notification and the wake-up notification. When a specific image forming apparatus of the at least one piece of image forming apparatus has been in the sleep mode for at least a certain period of time, the sever issues a power-off command to the specific image forming apparatus, so that the specific image forming apparatus shuts off automatically. Before issuing the power-off command, the server delivers a power-off notice to the user who has used the specific image forming apparatus.
Image forming apparatus, method for controlling thereof, and storage medium
An image forming apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect an object, a reception unit configured to receive an operation of a user, and a shifting unit configured to shift, if the detection unit detects an object, a power state of the image forming apparatus from a first power state to a second power state different from the first power state, and shift, if the reception unit receives an operation of a user, the power state of the image forming apparatus from the second power state to the first power state.
Information processing apparatus, system, method for controlling information processing apparatus, and computer program
An information processing apparatus and method is provided and controls execution of learning processing thereon. Learning data are generated in which readings of a human presence sensor serve as input values, information on receiving or not receiving any operation from an operation panel serves as success/failure flags. The success/failure flag is generated from an assessment result of a current resumption assessment model and the information on receiving or not receiving an operation, and is provided to the learning data. Accordingly, learning processing is performed using the success/failure flags provided in the learning data, thereby efficiently implementing learning.
Process deferral system and methods using a service requester
A processing system includes a service provider, such as a printing device, that receives requests to process tasks or jobs from service requesters. At times, the service provider will not be available for processing and will generate deferral responses to the service requesters. The deferral responses include a condition to be met before processing requests can be resent from the service requesters. After the condition is met, the processing requests are resent to the service provider to be fulfilled.
Information processing apparatus, non-transitory computer readable medium storing program, and information processing method for setting value of restarting
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to control an operation of an apparatus by executing a control program, in a case where an instruction to shift to a power-off state is received, perform shift from a normal operation state to any one of a first power-off state or a second power-off state, the first power-off state being a state where the operation is stopped without restarting the control program, the second power-off state being a state where the control program is restarted and then the operation is stopped, and in a case where the shift to the first power-off state is made, set at least a part of information regarding an operation of the information processing apparatus to a value that is set in a case where the control program is restarted.
