Self-configuring inspection systems for printers
Systems and methods are provided for print review systems. One embodiment is a print review system that includes a memory that stores inspection parameters of print media marked by a printer, an interface that communicates with the printer, and a controller that, in response to the printer initiating processing of a print job, receives an indication via the interface of settings used by the printer in processing the print job, modifies the parameters based on the settings, inspects the print media based on the modified parameters, and reports compliance of the print job with the modified parameters.

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a printing system capable of supporting a plurality of printable areas for one paper size. One embodiment of the present invention is a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to perform a control method in an information processing apparatus including: first printing control software; and second printing control software that converts first format print data output by the first printing control software into second format print data, and the control method includes: a first creation step of creating raster data based on the first format print data; a medium determination step of performing determination of whether a printing-target medium is a medium that needs a margin larger than a regular size; and a margin insertion step of performing margin insertion processing for raster data created at the first creation step.
Image processing device, image forming device and recording medium
An image processing device includes a job entry unit, a link setter, an association setter, an additional item setter, and a controller. The job entry unit enters jobs. The link setter associates the jobs entered by the job entry unit. The association setter associates one or more items common to the associated jobs. The additional item setter adds an additional item to one of the jobs, the additional item being for entering correction item information for correcting item information of a predetermined item among the one or more items associated by the association setter. The controller performs the jobs based on (i) item information of the one or more items associated by the association setter and (ii) additional item information of the additional item added by the additional item setter.
Image forming system
An image forming system includes a receiving unit that receives an adjustment value for adjusting a value of an applied voltage in case of transfer in response to an operation of a user, a detector that detects a value of an electric resistance of a print medium as a resistance value. A first control unit controls the applied voltage based on the adjustment value indicated by the second adjustment value information included in the adjustment update information received by the first communication unit. A second control unit uses the adjustment information transmitted respectively from the plurality of image forming devices and determines the adjustment values to be used in the plurality of image forming devices. A second communication unit transmits the adjustment update information including the second adjustment value information indicating the determined adjustment values respectively to the plurality of image forming devices.

ADJUSTING PRINT SETTINGS BASED ON PERTURBATION STATISTICS
An example method involves analyzing a plurality of perturbations of a printing system over a period of time, calculating statistics corresponding to each of the plurality of the perturbations of the printing system, after the duration of the period of time, executing an enhancement process for the printing system based on the calculated statistics of each of the perturbations, and adjusting settings of the printing system based on results of the enhancement process.
PRINTING VIA PRINTING DEVICE-INDEPENDENT INSTRUCTIONS
The present disclosure provides a method for printing via printing device-independent instructions. A rendered print job is received from a printer driver. A value of an attribute of the rendered print job is obtained. Determination regarding whether the value of the attribute of the rendered print job corresponds to one of a plurality of values acceptable by a printing device for the attribute is made. In response to a determination that the value is acceptable, the rendered print job is sent directly to the printing device. In response to a determination that the value is not acceptable, the rendered print job is re-rendered with a value acceptable by the printing device for the attribute, and the re-rendered print job is sent to the printing device.
PRINT SYSTEM, PRINT APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A print system includes an image processing apparatus and a print apparatus that receives a print job processed by the image processing apparatus and prints an image on a sheet. The print apparatus determines whether or not a print job received from the image processing apparatus is a measurement target for measuring an image printed on a sheet, measures the image on the sheet printed by executing a print job that has been determined to be the measurement target, and transmits the result of measurement to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus generates a print job serving as a measurement target, and upon receiving the result of measurement based on the transmitted print job, applies the result of measurement to a print job to be printed by the print apparatus.
NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SUPPORTING PROGRAM EXECUTABLE BY COMPUTER OF INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A non-transitory storage medium stores a supporting program executable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The supporting program, when executed by the computer, causes the information processing apparatus to execute, when being requested from the printing program of an operating system for processing in response to a change of a print setting, obtaining the print setting, generating, based on the obtained print setting, notification data including a notifying image indicating a configurational image of a printed object, and displaying the notifying image on the print setting screen displayed on a display of the information processing apparatus by outputting the generated notification data to the printing program of the operating system.
