A server includes: a memory storing printing configuration rules for interfacing with a printing system; a communications interface configured to communicate with a client device; a processor interconnected with the memory and the communications interface, the processor configured to: generate a print system network identifier mapped to the printing system, the print system network identifier configured for identifying print parameters for print jobs; receive, via the communications interface, a print request from the client device, the print request generated based on the print system network identifier and including one or more print parameters for a print job; and send a print instruction to the printing system to initiate the print job at the printing system according to the one or more print parameters, the print instruction generated according to the printing configuration rules.

A print management device includes: an estimation unit that estimates a completion prediction time of a print process that is planned in advance according to a processing capability of a printing device, the estimation unit estimating, in response to occurrence of an abnormality in the printing device, the completion prediction time based on actual performance information on the processing capability from a start of printing by the printing device to the occurrence of the abnormality and a recovery time determined in advance, the recovery time being a time needed for dealing with the abnormality; and a notification unit that notifies the completion prediction time estimated by the estimation unit.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a support program for an information processing device connectable to a printer. The information processing device includes: a display; a computer; and a memory. The memory stores an operating system in which a general-purpose printing program corresponding to the printer and supported by the support program is embedded. The general-purpose printing program is configured to manage data for displaying a print settings screen on the display. The support program, when executed by the computer, causes the information processing device to perform: when a connection error that a connection between the information processing device and the printer has failed is confirmed: generating; and transferring. The generating generates notification data indicating a notification content for notifying a user of the connection error. The transferring transfers the notification data to display the notification content based on the notification data on the print settings screen.

A card creation system uses software tools on computing devices for coordinating and creating cards that include handwritten text for a recipient. The software is used to an organizer to create invitations to participate in a coordinated group card delivery for a recipient on a designated date for a specified event. The card creation invitations are distributed to invitees who can either accept or decline the invitation. The software can be used to create custom card designs that include handwritten text. The custom card designs are transmitted from the participant computing devices to a server. The card designs are reviewed, printed, and placed in separate envelopes. User characteristics such as gestures, posture, spoke words or facial expressions are used in conjunction with device status information to determine whether the user is satisfied with the device. If not, remedial action is initiated, such as launching a virtual assistant on the multifunction peripheral touchscreen or summoning of a human assistant.
