PRINTING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND COMPARISON METHOD
A printing system includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires print data of a plurality of pages and extracts comparison data from the print data for each page. The processing circuitry, from first image data read from a printed material on which the print data is printed, acquires second image data at a position corresponding to the comparison data, for each page of the printed material. The processing circuitry outputs a comparison result of the comparison data and the read image data for each page.
Selecting a Printer Based on Proximity
A system for choosing a printer based on proximity comprising: a beacon to broadcast a transmission having a beacon ID; a printer to: receive the transmission, determine a received signal strength indicator for the transmission, generate a printer location signal including the beacon ID, the received signal strength indicator, and a printer ID associated with the printer, and transmit the printer location signal to a host server; the host server including a processor and a memory, the server configured to: receive the printer location signal from the printer, determine a printer location based on a predetermined location of the beacon, the beacon ID, and the received signal strength indicator, and associate the printer location with a printer zone; a printer proximity application to: receive a print request, the print request including a print data and a target zone, and transmit the print data to the printer in the target zone.
Self-configuring inspection systems for printers
Systems and methods are provided for print review systems. One embodiment is a print review system that includes a memory that stores inspection parameters of print media marked by a printer, an interface that communicates with the printer, and a controller that, in response to the printer initiating processing of a print job, receives an indication via the interface of settings used by the printer in processing the print job, modifies the parameters based on the settings, inspects the print media based on the modified parameters, and reports compliance of the print job with the modified parameters.
JOB PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING JOB PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
In a case where a job associated with a user has not been successfully stored in a job processing apparatus, it is not possible to exclusively notify the user that the job has not been successfully stored. A control method in a job processing apparatus includes storing a job such that the job is associated with a user, storing, identification information for identifying the user associated with a job that has not been successfully stored, and notifying the user that the job has not been stored according to login to the job processing apparatus, by the user, in a case where identification information for identifying the user having logged in to the job processing apparatus has been stored.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming apparatus according to the present invention causes an image forming portion to perform image forming processing based on a security job issued by an output-permitted user, in a case where an outsider-use-possibility calculated by an outsider-use-possibility calculation portion becomes equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold value on the basis of information of a movement trajectory of the output-permitted user and also the output-permitted user has been detected in an output-process-start area. Accordingly, it is possible to enhance the convenience for the output-permitted user while ensuring the security of the output product based on the security job issued by the user.
Inspection apparatus, image forming system, inspection program, and inspection method
An inspection apparatus includes: a hardware processor that: conducts an inspection on an image by comparing a scanned image with a correct image, the image being formed on paper in accordance with a print job, the scanned image being generated by reading the image, the correct image serving as a reference for the inspection of the image; and determines whether a page is a target for the inspection in accordance with a type of the paper on which the image will be formed according to print setting of the print job, wherein the hardware processor conducts the inspection on the image on a page that has been determined to be the target for the inspection by the hardware processor, and does not conduct the inspection on the image on a page that has been determined to not be the target for the inspection.
Image processing apparatus
An image processing apparatus includes: a controller configured to: control a reader to read an image on a reading medium; determine whether a preview image corresponding to the read image is to be displayed on a display, based on a setting value for a setting item, reading-obtained information, or the setting value and the reading-obtained information, in a case where the controller determines that the preview image is to be displayed, control the display to display the preview image, and execute a particular processing based on obtained read-image data in a case where a processing instruction is input after the preview image is displayed; and in a case where the controller determines that the preview image is not to be displayed, execute the particular processing based on the read-image data without displaying the preview image.
PRINT SYSTEM, PRINT APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A print system includes an image processing apparatus and a print apparatus that receives a print job processed by the image processing apparatus and prints an image on a sheet. The print apparatus determines whether or not a print job received from the image processing apparatus is a measurement target for measuring an image printed on a sheet, measures the image on the sheet printed by executing a print job that has been determined to be the measurement target, and transmits the result of measurement to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus generates a print job serving as a measurement target, and upon receiving the result of measurement based on the transmitted print job, applies the result of measurement to a print job to be printed by the print apparatus.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND ABNORMAL SHEET INFORMATION DISPLAY METHOD
An image forming system includes: a sheet feeder; an image former that forms an image on a paper sheet; a conveyor that conveys a paper sheet to a sheet ejection destination; a switcher that switches sheet ejection destinations; a reader that optically reads a paper sheet, and outputs a read image; an abnormal sheet detector that detects an abnormal paper sheet by analyzing the read image; a storage; a display; and a hardware processor that performs: ejection destination switch control to control the switcher to eject an abnormal paper sheet and a succeeding paper sheet to a second ejection destination different from a regular ejection destination; storage control, for each of the abnormal paper sheet and the succeeding paper sheet, to associate sheet information, the read image, and a stacking order with one another, and store them into the storage; and display control to cause the display to display them.
PRODUCTION OF MAIL BATCHES IN A CLOUD ENVIRONMENT
Producing mail batches on inserters located at multiple production sites, includes: preparing a print job and a job file for a mail batch; allocating the mail batch to at least one production site with production software running on a production server; flagging the mailpieces for the production site; sending the print job to a printer of the production site; printing the documents; delivering the documents an inserter of the production site; scanning a first mailpiece identifier on a first document; sending an initial request to the production server including the first mailpiece identifier and identifying the inserter and the production site; verifying via the production software that the first mailpiece identifier is valid; and sending back to the inserter a confirmation message for processing the mailpiece wherein the confirmation message includes a list of valid mailpiece identifiers neighbouring the first mailpiece identifier in the job file.
