A card reader includes a card lock mechanism for preventing pulling-out of a card from an insertion port when the card is jammed in a conveyance passage. The card lock mechanism includes a motor, a lock member driven by the motor to be moved between a contact position and a retreated position, a knob mechanically connected with the motor, and a detection mechanism for detecting the lock member located at the retreated position. The card reader includes a control part which is configured so that, after the motor is driven to move the lock member to the contact position, when the detection mechanism detects that the lock member has moved to the retreated position, the control part executes a tactile stimulation sequence in which the motor is driven to apply movement to the knob so that attention of an operator operating the knob is called in a tactile manner.

CARD READER

A card reader includes a card lock mechanism preventing pulling-out of a card jammed in a card conveyance passage, and an operation part for manually releasing lock of the card caused by the card lock mechanism. The card lock mechanism includes a motor, and a lock member which is provided with a blocking pawl for preventing pulling-out of the card and is moved between a contact position where the blocking pawl contacts the card and a retreated position where the blocking pawl is retreated from the card conveyance passage. The operation part includes a rotation member in a tube shape having an inner circumference wall surrounding an output shaft of the motor, and an engaging member provided on the inner circumference wall and extended along a circumferential direction of the output shaft and engageable with an outer peripheral face of the output shaft. The engaging member is elastically deformable.

A card reader may include card insertion port; a plurality of types of pulling-out detection mechanisms; and a pulling-out prevention mechanism. The pulling-out prevention mechanism may include a lock member having a prevention part configured to contact with the card and prevent pulling-out of the card; and a moving mechanism structured to move the lock member between a contact position and a retreated position. The plurality of types of the pulling-out detection mechanisms may the abnormal pulling-out of the card by methods different from each other. The lock member is moved to the contact position from the retreated position to prevent pulling-out of the card when the abnormal pulling-out of the card from the card insertion port is detected by the plurality of types of the pulling-out detection mechanisms.

In a card reader (1), if a shutter member (10), being located at a block position for blocking a card transfer path (3), rotates toward a deep side of the card reader, the shutter member moves to an open position. In a part within a surface of a side of the card transfer path in a thickness direction of the card (2), at a side deeper than the shutter member, there are formed only an open part (31) and an open part (32); the open part being for preventing an interference of the shutter member, rotating toward the open position, with the main body frame (4), as well as ejecting a foreign object out of the card transfer path; the open part being for preventing an interference of a movable component (21), placed so as to face the card transfer path, with the main body frame.

Connector having cover, base and metal member with a locking portion, a coupling portion with a standing portion, and a reinforcing portion overlapping an area of twice a predetermined distance from the standing portion

A connector comprises a cover, a base, a hinge mechanism, a terminal and a metal member. The cover is provided with a locked portion. The metal member is held by the base. The metal member has a locking portion, a coupling portion and a reinforcing portion. The locking portion has a first regulating portion and a second regulating portion. The coupling portion integrally couples the first regulating portion and the reinforcing portion with each other. The coupling portion and the second regulating portion are positioned away from each other by a predetermined distance in a front-rear direction. The coupling portion has a standing portion. The reinforcing portion is soldered on a circuit board when the connector is mounted on the circuit board. In a plane perpendicular to an up-down direction, the reinforcing portion at least overlaps with an area within a range of twice the predetermined distance from the standing portion.
