Credit Card Cleaning Apparatus
A credit card cleaning apparatus for quickly and conveniently sanitizing a credit card includes a housing having a housing top side, a housing bottom side, a housing front side, a housing back side, a housing left side, and a housing right side. The housing front side is spaced apart from the housing back side in parallel opposition defining a housing interior. The housing top side has a card slot extending through to the housing interior. The housing receives a credit card through the card slot. A brush is coupled to the housing. The brush is coupled to the housing back side within the housing interior and is saturated with a sanitizing solution. The brush applies the sanitizing solution to the credit card when it is inserted through the card slot.
MOVABLE CARD WITH HANDLE FOR CLEANING PRINTED MEDIA TRANSPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A cleaning system for cleaning a media transport device includes a cleaning substrate sized and configured to be inserted within at least a portion of a media travel pathway of a media transport device. The cleaning substrate comprises a cleaning face, along with a handle extending from the cleaning face. The handle is positioned to remain outside of the media transport device while the cleaning face is within the media transport device. The cleaning face comprises a plurality of cleaning elements, each of which is positioned to align with a belt, a drive roller, an idle roller, a drive roller/idle roller pair, or a sensor of the media transport device when the cleaning substrate within the media travel pathway. Methods of using a handled cleaning substrate are also disclosed.

CLEANING CARD WITH DEFORMABLE CLEANING ELEMENTS FOR MEDIA TRANSPORT DEVICE
Cleaning cards and methods of using cleaning cards to clean interior components of a media transport device are disclosed. The cleaning card comprises a substrate having a cleaning layer material and a deformable cleaning element. The deformable cleaning element comprises a border that surrounds an opening. The opening is substantially filled with bristles, each of which comprises the cleaning layer material and extends from the border into opening. The bristles are co-planar with a lateral plane of the substrate before the cleaning card is used to clean a media transport device. The card is received into the device, and the bristles are positioned against a drive roller in a media transport path of the device. The drive roller is turned, which causes the bristles to deform and extend from the lateral plane of the substrate in multiple directions while contacting and cleaning the drive roller.
CARD READER
A card reader includes a data reading mechanism and a main body frame formed with a card moving passage and holding the data reading mechanism. The main body frame is formed with a moving passage forming surface, an accommodation part recessed from the moving passage forming surface toward a lower side, and a guide part for guiding a foreign matter inserted from a card insertion slot to the accommodation part. The accommodation part is disposed at a position displaced from the data reading mechanism in a width direction of a card and is disposed on a lower side in a vertical direction with respect to the card contacting the moving passage forming surface. The foreign matter is capable of being guided from the front side with respect to the data reading mechanism toward the accommodation part by the guide part.
