An image forming apparatus includes a housing having an opening, a cover movable between an open position and a closed position, a first photoconductive drum and a second photoconductive drum, a first exposing head having a first boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, a second exposing head having a second boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, and a cam rotatably coupled to each of the first exposing head and the second exposing head. The second determination unit determines that the first correction data is to be generated, based on the amount of unevenness determined by the first determination unit.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing unit, a heating portion and a removal unit to remove a particulate dust generated due to vaporization of a parting agent by heat in the fixing unit. There is provided an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus including, a first variable mechanism that varies from a first state to a second state or from the second state to the first state when physically operated by a user, a first detection unit configured to detect the variation of a state of the first variable mechanism, and a sound collection unit. The image forming system further includes a generation unit configured to generate, when the variation is detected by the first detection unit, first statistical information regarding at least one sound wave obtained by the sound collection unit in a period based on a timing when the variation is detected.

Further, the image forming apparatus sets, before starting image formation of one job including image formation, one candidate temperature of a plurality of predetermined candidate temperatures different from each other as the control temperature on the basis of the number of sheets to be used and a sheet size to be used in the image formation of the one job.
