Printing apparatus, printing control method, and storage medium
A printing apparatus includes an image former which forms a tone pattern image on a sheet conveyed from a sheet feeding deck, a color measurer which performs color measurement by reading the tone pattern image formed by the image former, and one or more controllers including one or more processors and one or more memories. The one or more controllers are configured to generate tone correction data based on a difference between color measurement results by the color measurer and a reference value, and perform tone correction for print target image data by using the generated tone correction data. The reference value is registered in association with a type of sheet that is accommodated in the sheet feeding deck, and in a case where the type of sheet that is accommodated in the sheet feeding deck is changed, the reference value is cleared.
Transform map at printer cartridge
A transform wrapper is stored on a memory device and the memory device may be included in a printer cartridge. The transform wrapper may dynamically build a transform map for a printer based on metadata stored at the memory device. The metadata may indicate at least one of a type of depositing material, transform map, print media and printer.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes: an obtaining unit configured to obtain an image; an identification unit configured to identify a type of paper on which the image obtained by the obtaining unit is printed; a gamma correction unit configured to subject the image obtained by the obtaining unit to gamma correction based on the type of the paper identified by the identification unit; a saving unit configured to save the image after being subjected to the gamma correction; and a unit configured to stop printing of the image based on a failure of the identification unit to identify the type of the paper on which the image is printed.
PRINTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for dynamically modifying an image during a printing process. The method includes executing a digitized pre-process wherein a submitted image is prepared to be a printable image, identifying what marking options are to be applied to the printable image, and executing a real-time feed operation wherein the printable image is modified based on the marking options and applied to a printed article.
COLOR CORRECTION
In an example, a method comprises: for each of a plurality of areas of a target image, determining a color vector representing that area, wherein the color vector is defined in a color space. The method may further comprise producing a color histogram of the target image by associating each area of the target image with a histogram bin representing a particular color, based on the determined color vector of the area; defining a color represented by a histogram bin associated with a highest number of image areas as a dominant color of the target image; and applying a correction to a print version of the target image for an area that is intended to have the dominant color.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and program
An image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes an image forming unit configured to form an image, a measuring unit configured to measure the formed image, a control unit configured to control execution of a single-color calibration to be performed to correct reproduction characteristics of a single-color formed by the image forming unit based on a measuring result of a single-color image formed with a single-color recording agent and execution of a multi-color calibration to be performed to correct reproduction characteristics of a multi-color image formed by the image forming unit based on a measuring result of a multi-color formed with a plurality of recording agents, and a selection unit configured to select whether to cause the control unit to perform the multi-color calibration after completing the single-color calibration or cause the control unit to perform any one of the single-color calibration and the multi-color calibration.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium
An image processing apparatus including a division unit configured to divide first image data having a first dynamic range into a plurality of regions, an obtaining unit configured to obtain distance information indicating a distance from a focal plane in each of the plurality of regions, a determining unit configured to determine a conversion characteristic of each of the plurality of regions based on the distance information, a conversion unit configured to convert each of the plurality of regions into second image data having a second dynamic range smaller than the first dynamic range by using the conversion characteristic determined by the determining unit, and a storage unit configured to store a first conversion characteristic and a second conversion characteristic that can be used for the conversion.
METHOD FOR GENERATING A QUICK RESPONSE CODE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to a method for generating a quick response QR code and a printing apparatus, a method for generating a quick response (QR) code, comprising obtaining an original image of the QR code, wherein the original image of the QR code is a bitmap image and is a color image or a grayscale image; obtaining information contained in the QR code; and generating a monochrome image of the QR code based on the information.
DIGITAL PRINTING DEVICE COMPRISING MEANS FOR ADJUSTMENT OF THE PRINTED IMAGE TO THE FABRIC COLORS
A textile printing system for digital printing of colored images onto typically colored fabrics, digitally using print nozzles or other digital means, the nozzles printing print pixels onto the fabrics. The system comprises a print file defining pixel colors for the individual printing pixels; and a deletion unit which deletes print pixels from the print file wherever a respective pixel color is within a threshold distance of the fabric color. The textile printer then prints the print pixels onto the fabric to form a colored image without printing any of the deleted pixels.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: for each of values in a target device-independent color system, calculate values of some colors in a device-dependent color system including a spot color; change the values of some colors in the device-dependent color system so as to smooth changes in the values of some colors in the device-dependent color system in response to changes in the values in the device-independent color system; and for each of the values in the target device-independent color system, based on the values of some colors in the device-dependent color system after the change, calculate values of remaining colors in the device-dependent color system, and generate a color-conversion profile with the values in the device-independent color system as input and the values of some colors in the device-dependent color system after the change and the values of the remaining colors in the device-dependent color system as output.
