The font substitution guidance screen displays also a sample character group having a typeface according to the selected substitute font.

The controller acquires an appearance image configured of a plurality of colors, identifies the plurality of colors configuring the acquired appearance image, and specifying a plurality of printing medium types based on the plurality of identified colors. The plurality of printing medium types includes a first printing medium type and a second printing medium type. The controller generates a first print dataset and a second print dataset by using the appearance image. The first print dataset corresponds to the specified first printing medium type. Methods and systems for dynamically determining interchange fees. In an embodiment, an acquirer computer transmits a payment card account authorization request to a payment processing network, and receives an authorization response authorizing the transaction and comprising a spending history indication reflecting a compilation of spending history data of a group of payment card accounts that qualify for dynamic interchange rate setting. The acquirer computer then stores the spending history indication, transmits the authorization response to a merchant processing system computer, receives a clearing file from the merchant processing system computer, determines that an interchange rate depends on the spending history indication, selects an interchange rate from an interchange rate selection database based on the spending history indication, calculates an interchange fee based on the interchange rate, and transmits the clearing file and the interchange fee to the payment network for clearing of the transaction.

An image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes a detection unit configured to detect approach or contact of a printing apparatus relative to a display apparatus, a first acquisition unit configured to acquire information about a print attribute of the printing apparatus detected by the detection unit, a second acquisition unit configured to acquire attribute information about content data to be displayed on the display apparatus, and a determination unit configured to determine suitability of printing the content data in the printing apparatus, based on the information about the print attribute of the printing apparatus and the attribute information about the content data.

An information processing apparatus includes an input unit, a display unit, a designation unit and an update unit. The input unit inputs a plurality of parts configuring one character. The display unit displays the plurality of parts. The designation unit designates one or more parts selected from the plurality of parts by a user. The update unit updates a display on the display unit such that the designated one or more parts are deleted from the one character and the other parts are remained displayed on the display unit.

It is made possible to perform appropriate color matching between devices irrespective of whether a printed material is print-output in color or monochrome from a destination device. The color characteristic of the destination device is obtained by printing a chart in which a predetermined density pattern is formed in the destination device and reading the color of the chart. Next, whether the chart output from the destination device is color or monochrome is determined. Then, color conversion parameters for reproducing the color characteristic of the destination device in an adjustment device are determined by printing the color chart in a case where the printed material is determined that formed in color or printing the monochrome chart in a case where the printed material is determined that formed in monochrome in the adjustment device.

A printing apparatus has a sheet holding unit having a detection unit for detecting a size of a sheet which is held and a storage unit configured to store sheet information including at least a size of a sheet as information representing a sheet. The apparatus sets first sheet information selected by a user in association with the sheet holding unit from a plurality of items of sheet information stored in the storage unit and notifies the user of a mismatch in a case where a size of a sheet that the first sheet information set in the setting indicates, and a size of a sheet detected by the detection unit are mismatched.

An object of the present disclosure is to perform printing such that partition work of an operator is reduced. One embodiment of the present embodiment provides a printing apparatus that prints images on a roll paper based on one or a plurality of jobs, the printing apparatus including: an image forming unit that forms one or a plurality of image sets, each formed of a partition page image and a content image, on the roll paper based on a job in which partition information for inserting a partition page is set; and a control unit that controls image formation by the image forming unit, in which the control unit controls the image formation by the image forming unit based on a remaining amount of the roll paper such that there is no interruption in the middle of the image set.

In response to a print instruction instructing a printer to print an image being made with respect to a general-use printing program implemented in an operating system of the information processing device, the information processing device uses a supporting program to obtain an image size of print data subject to printing based on the number of vertical dots, the number of horizontal dots, and print resolution of the print data. Further, the information processing device obtains second size information indicating a sheet size included in a print setting and determines, by comparing the image size the sheet size, whether the sheet size conforms to the image size. When determining that the sheet size does not conform to the image size, the information processing device performs a warning process of displaying a warning message using a user interface.

The disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling drifting of colors in printing. The method includes receiving a document including the image for printing, the image includes one or more gray and non-gray portions. An input from a user to selectively adjust the color of the gray portions of the image is received. The gray portions of the image are identified. Then, color values associated with the identified gray portions of the image are determined. Based on the user input, the determined color values associated with the gray portions of the image are selectively adjusted, without affecting non-gray color portions of the image to generate an updated image. The updated image is printed and the printed image includes adjusted color for the gray portions of the image such that gray color in the printed image is consistent with gray color of the image in the document.
