Provided is an image processing apparatus that can efficiently utilize the storage capacity in image processing. A dividing unit divides inputted image data into a plurality of partial data. An analysis unit analyzes whether or not each of the plurality of partial data divided by the division unit is suitable for compression at any of a plurality of stages of image processing in which feature of image changes. A compression unit compresses the partial data at the stage when the analysis unit analyzes that it is suitable for compression. A decompressing unit decompresses the partial data compressed by the compression unit at the stage when it is compressed. A processing execution unit executes processing at the stage of image processing on the partial data decompressed by the decompressing unit.

A print system includes an image processing apparatus and a print apparatus that receives a print job processed by the image processing apparatus and prints an image on a sheet. The print apparatus determines whether or not a print job received from the image processing apparatus is a measurement target for measuring an image printed on a sheet, measures the image on the sheet printed by executing a print job that has been determined to be the measurement target, and transmits the result of measurement to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus generates a print job serving as a measurement target, and upon receiving the result of measurement based on the transmitted print job, applies the result of measurement to a print job to be printed by the print apparatus.

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a memory and a processor. The memory is to store visual data associated with a visual representation captured by one or more sensors. The processor is to: obtain the visual data associated with the visual representation captured by the one or more sensors, wherein the visual data comprises uncompressed visual data or compressed visual data; process the visual data using a convolutional neural network (CNN), wherein the CNN comprises a plurality of layers, wherein the plurality of layers comprises a plurality of filters, and wherein the plurality of filters comprises one or more pixel-domain filters to perform processing associated with uncompressed data and one or more compressed-domain filters to perform processing associated with compressed data; and classify the visual data based on an output of the CNN.

The printing environment data includes printing template information having a plurality of printing slots. The operating unit comprises an operating mode enabling the printing template information to be generated or edited. The conversion processing unit is inputted with or creates printing data made up of a plurality of pages, and, based on the printing template information, allocates a printing position and printing range of each page of the printing data to the printing slots.

The processor: accesses visual data associated with an image captured by the camera; determines a tile size parameter for partitioning the visual data into a plurality of tiles; partitions the visual data into the plurality of tiles based on the tile size parameter, wherein the plurality of tiles corresponds to a plurality of regions within the image; compresses the plurality of tiles into a plurality of compressed tiles, wherein each tile is compressed independently; generates a tile-based representation of the image, wherein the tile-based representation comprises an array of the plurality of compressed tiles; and stores the tile-based representation of the image on the storage device.

The method comprises obtaining an original data file of an image to be printed from a database; dividing the original data file into a plurality of first data files and storing the first data files in a plurality of first memory blocks correspondingly; receiving an image printing request, the image printing request carrying first position information of the image to be printed; determining from its position information of the image to be printed second position information contained in the first position information, and filling a first data file corresponding to the second position information to a second memory block from the first memory block where the first data file is located through memory mapping mechanism to form a second data file to be printed; and printing and outputting the second data file in the second memory block.

In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a communication interface and a processor. The communication interface is to communicate with a plurality of devices. The processor is to: receive compressed data from a first device, wherein the compressed data is associated with visual data captured by sensor(s); perform a current stage of processing on the compressed data using a current CNN, wherein the current stage of processing corresponds to one of a plurality of processing stages associated with the visual data, and wherein the current CNN corresponds to one of a plurality of CNNs associated with the plurality of processing stages; obtain an output associated with the current stage of processing; determine, based on the output, whether processing associated with the visual data is complete; if the processing is complete, output a result associated with the visual data; if the processing is incomplete, transmit the compressed data to a second device.
