RASTER IMAGE CONVERSION DEVICE AND PROGRAM, AND PRINTING SYSTEM
A raster image conversion device is inputted with printing data and converts this printing data into raster image data to be outputted to a printing device. A storage unit stores printing environment data stipulating conditions for converting the printing data into the raster image data. An operating unit sets or edits the printing environment data. A conversion processing unit converts the printing data into the raster image data, based on the printing environment data. The printing environment data includes printing template information having a plurality of printing slots. The operating unit comprises an operating mode enabling the printing template information to be generated or edited. The conversion processing unit is inputted with or creates printing data made up of a plurality of pages, and, based on the printing template information, allocates a printing position and printing range of each page of the printing data to the printing slots.
Image processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and image processing method that performs analysis image processing during normal image processing
Provided is an image processing apparatus that improves the performance when performing image processing accompanying an analysis. An image acquisition unit acquires processing image data for performing processing. A normal image processing unit performs normal image processing for normal output on the processing image data acquired by the image acquisition unit and outputs the normal image data. An analysis image processing unit performs analysis image processing accompanied by analysis in parallel with the normal image processing by the normal image processing unit and outputs the analysis image data. A merge processing unit merges the normal image data output by the normal image processing unit and the analysis image data output by the analysis image processing unit and outputs print data for printing.
PRINT DATA EDITING DEVICE EDITING PRINT DATA SUCH THAT PARTIAL IMAGE CORRESPONDING TO COLUMN IS SHIFTED IN SUB-SCANNING DIRECTION AND EDITING CONDITION IS MET
A print data editing device performs editing print data such that when dots constituting an input image represented by the print data are compared by units of columns before and after performing the editing, a coincidence is maximized when an image of each column in the input image after the editing is the same position as an image of the corresponding column in the input image before the editing or is shifted by a corresponding shift amount relative to the image of the corresponding column in the input image before the editing and an editing condition is met. The editing condition includes that an absolute value of at least one shift amount is one dot or greater, an absolute difference value for any two neighboring columns is one dot or less, and at least one absolute difference value for all possible combinations of two columns is less than one dot.
PRINT DATA EDITING DEVICE EDITING PRINT DATA SUCH THAT PARTIAL IMAGE CORRESPONDING TO COLUMN IS SHIFTED BY SHIFT AMOUNT IN SUB-SCANNING DIRECTION
A print data editing device is configured to perform: editing print data such that when dots constituting an input image represented by the print data are compared by units of columns before and after the editing, a coincidence is maximized when an image of each column in the input image after the editing is the same position as an image of the corresponding column in the input image before the editing or is shifted by a corresponding shift amount in a sub-scanning direction relative to the image of the corresponding column in the input image before the editing. An absolute value of at least one of shift amounts for columns in the input image after the editing is one dot or greater. An absolute difference value for any two neighboring columns in a main scanning direction in the input image after the editing is one dot or less.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus can inhibit occurrence of defective images caused when a buffer consumption amount in sector correction exceeds a previously estimated capacity. The image forming apparatus comprises a line buffer for temporarily storing image data. The image forming apparatus performs correction processing of the image data to correct distortion of the image to store the corrected image data in the line buffer. Further, the image forming apparatus forms images on a recording medium based on the image data having experienced the correction processing. The CPU of the image forming apparatus determines whether a size of the image data having experienced the distortion correction by a first correction value based on a sector correction seed value exceeds the number of lines in the line buffer. If it is determined that it exceeds the number of lines, the CPU obtains a second correction value, correcting the first value.
CONTROLLER, HEAD SYSTEM, AND PRINTER
A controller includes a plurality of control circuits configured to be connected to respective ones of a plurality of head units. Each head unit has a nozzle. The plurality of control circuits includes a first control circuit, a second control circuit connected to the first control circuit in series to perform communication, and a third control circuit connected to the second control circuit in series to perform communication. The first control circuit is configured to transmit first data to the second control circuit. The first data is data for controlling at least one of the plurality of head units. The second control circuit is configured to transmit second data to the third control circuit. The second data is data for controlling at least one of the plurality of head units. A data amount of the second data is smaller than a data amount of the first data.
PRINTER, DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER PROGRAM
A plurality of sub control circuits are connected to respective ones of a plurality of head units. One of the plurality of sub control circuits is connected to a main control circuit so as to perform communication. The plurality of sub control circuits include a first control circuit and a second control circuit. The second control circuit is connected to the first control circuit in series so as to perform communication. The first control circuit is configured to: receive first data, the first data including a first parameter and a second parameter, the first parameter corresponding to the first control circuit, the second parameter corresponding to the second control circuit; and transmit the first data to the second control circuit. The second control circuit is configured to: receive the first data from the first control circuit; and delete the first parameter from the first data.
Decorating system for edible items
In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to decorating and printing of edible media sheets based on a user-uploaded image. Using a browser-based user interface, the user selected image can be edited and embellished as an edible media design. The edible media design is converted to print data to enable printing of the edible media design using a printer installed with edible ink.
