A label issuing system includes a label issuing apparatus and a label printer. The label issuing apparatus includes a printer interface and a processor. The processor is configured to generate print data for an image including a first region with first information and a second region with a first code symbol and a second code symbol each representing the first information but being of different sizes. The processor controls the printer interface to transmit the print data to the label printer. The label printer is connectable to the printer interface and configured to print the image on a label based on the print data received through the printer interface symbol.

A control device includes a first control substrate including a processor and a communication interface; and a second control substrate including a processor and a communication interface. The first control substrate and the second control substrate are connected through the communication interfaces. When occurrence of an error in data communication through the communication interfaces is detected, at least one of the processor of the first control substrate and the processor of the second control substrate performs the data communication using unused signal lines among signal lines provided in the communication interfaces.

A communication device including a registration unit that registers an IP address of the communication device and a method information including a first method information indicating a first setting method for setting a dynamic IP address and a second method information indicating a second setting method for setting a static IP address. The registration unit includes a change unit that changes registered contents of a memory in accordance with a user's instruction. When the first method information and a first IP address are registered in the memory, the change unit does not change the method information in the memory from the first method information to the second method information in a case where a method change instruction for changing the first setting method to the second setting method is given by the user under a state where the first IP address has not been changed to another IP address.

A print controller includes a communication section configured to communicate with a printer, a communication controlling section configured to request transmission of a transmission command for acquiring response data to the printer, and a printing data processing section configured to process printing data on a host-based system and transmit the processed printing data to the printer via the communication section. During communication on the host-based system, the printing data processing section transmits the transmission command to the printer via the communication section and acquires the response data returned from the printer in response to the transmission command. An image forming apparatus supporting peer to peer (P2P) connection includes a print engine to perform a print operation; a first wireless interface to connect the image forming apparatus to an access point (AP) of an infrastructured network; a second wireless interface to connect the image forming apparatus to an external mobile device by P2P; a soft AP module to allow the image forming apparatus to perform as an AP when the image forming apparatus is P2P connected; a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server unit to allocate an internet protocol (IP) address to the mobile device that is P2P connected to the image forming apparatus; a soft AP activating unit to activate the soft AP module; and a control unit. If a discovery packet is received from the mobile device via P2P interface, the control unit is operable to control the image forming apparatus to process the discovery packet.

Disclosed is a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium in which a program is stored, wherein the program causes an information processing device to: obtain conference information of a conference; and prepare and display a print instruction window having a function for receiving a selection of a print apparatus used for a printing in a list of one or more print apparatuses by displaying the list and having a function for receiving an instruction for starting the printing, the print instruction window indicating the obtained conference information.

Examples disclosed herein relate to discovery of a printing device via a remote platform access client. Examples include a command from a remote platform server, via a remote platform protocol, for a remote platform access client to perform local discovery for at least one printing device. Examples further include identification of a discovered printing device not installed on a client computing device to a remote access server, and provision of print-ready print data to the discovered printing device without any rendering at the client computing device.

In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to decorating and printing of edible media sheets based on a user-uploaded image. Using a browser-based user interface, the user selected image can be edited and embellished as an edible media design. The edible media design is converted to print data to enable printing of the edible media design using a printer installed with edible ink.
