IMAGE RECOGNITION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RETRIEVING INFORMATION ON A MARKER
An image recognition device and method retrieve information on a marker. The marker encodes information identifying an asset by encoding the information in a binary pattern as recesses and non-recesses in the marker. The image recognition is performed by imaging the marker, mapping contrast in the image, identifying variations in the contrast, creating a mesh overlaying the image, identifying the present or absence of recesses from the mesh, and reading the binary pattern represented by the recesses in the marker.
Methods and apparatus to identify additively manufactured parts
Methods and apparatus to identify additively manufactured parts are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a body, formed of layers layered substantially parallel to a base layer, composed of a first material having a first density, a first indicium embedded internally in the body as a void, and a second indicium on an external surface of the body, the second indicium aligning with the first indicium.
Screw Nut with Barcode Pattern Segments
A screw nut includes a through hole defined by the screw nut, an internal thread that projects into the through hole, and a face that surrounds the through hole. At least three barcode patterns are disposed on the face where the at least three barcode patterns have an identical content.
A LABEL FOR A TYRE OF VEHICLE WHEELS, A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAID LABEL AND A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TYRE INCLUDING SAID LABEL
Abstract: A label (1; 50) for a tyre (100) of vehicle wheels comprises: at least a first layer (4) which is made of an elastomer material which is compatible with the elastomer material of a sidewall (102) of the tyre, an external surface (2) which is intended to remain visible when the label is coupled to the sidewall, a plurality of recesses (10) which are formed at the external surface (2) and which are capable of generally defining at least one portion of information which is set out on the label (1; 50). The elastomer material of which the first layer (4) is made comprises a quantity of a halogenated isobutylene polymer greater than 5 phr.
A LABEL FOR A TYRE OF VEHICLE WHEELS, A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAID LABEL AND A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TYRE INCLUDING SAID LABEL
A label (1; 50) for a tyre (100) of vehicle wheels comprises: an external surface (2) which is intended to remain visible when said label (1; 50) is coupled to a sidewall (102) of the tyre, an internal surface (3) which is opposite the external surface (2), a plurality of recesses (10) which are formed at the external surface (2) and which are not open at said internal surface (3) and which are capable of generally defining at least one portion of information which is set out on the label. The plurality of recesses (10) are formed on a first layer (4) of the label (1; 50) which is made of an elastomer material which is compatible with the elastomer material of the sidewall (102). The first layer (4) is partially vulcanized and has a degree of vulcanization corresponding to a value between T.sub.30 and T.sub.60.
RESILIENT DIRECT PART MARKING ON CARBON STEEL USING LASER ENGRAVING AND COATING PROCESSES
A computer readable barcode on a surface of a corrodible material, and method of forming. A surface depression of an inverse bar code pattern is etched or engraved within the surface and around the code elements. A corrosion-resistant material is cured within the surface depression formed by the engraving. The corrosion-resistant material is lightly colored to frame the formed barcode lines.
Information Storage Method and Information Storage Medium with Increased Storage Density by Multi-Bit Coding
The invention relates to a method for storage of information and to an information storage medium with increased storage density by multi-bit coding.
System for identifying parts formed in an additive manufacturing build
A system and method for identifying test bars formed during a selective laser sintering build. A part cake is formed during a selective laser sintering build. The part cake comprises parts formed from a powder by selective laser sintering and unsintered powder around the formed parts. The parts include test bars for performing material testing. Each test bar includes a plurality of indentations in a first grip section and a second grip section. The plurality of indentations are arranged in a information providing pattern that is adapted to be readable after the test part is removed from the part cake.
OPTICAL ANTI-COUNTERFEITING COMPONENT AND OPTICAL ANTI-COUNTERFEITING PRODUCT
The present invention discloses an optical anti-counterfeiting component and an optical anti-counterfeiting product. The optical anti-counterfeiting component comprises: a substrate; a sub-wavelength surface micro-structure and an optical reflection facet formed on an upper surface of the substrate; and a multi-layer structured coating formed on the sub-wavelength surface micro-structure and the optical reflection facet. In the case where the same multi-layer structured coating is used, a contrasting optical characteristic is formed between the region in which the sub-wavelength surface micro-structure and the multi-layer structured coating lie and the region in which the optical reflection facet and the multi-layer structured coating lie, so that the optical anti-counterfeiting component or the optical anti-counterfeiting product that includes the optical anti-counterfeiting component can be identified easily and has high anti-counterfeiting capability.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LASER MARKING PRODUCE
The present invention provides systems and methods for laser marking of produce with a laser beam with a center wavelength in the mid-infra-red region without the need for additional surface agents or chemicals to enhance the marking. The present invention further provides produce marked by a laser beam with a center wavelength in the mid-infra-red regions that is free of any additional surface agents or chemicals.
