MERCHANDISE TAGS INCORPORATING A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Systems and methods are provided for labeling a piece of merchandise with a wireless communication device. In addition to a wireless communication device, the merchandise tag includes an associated label made of a washable fabric material. The wireless communication device is incorporated into the label and includes an RFID chip and a slot-loop hybrid antenna, with the antenna including a conductor sheet that defines a slot. The label is secured to a piece of merchandise at a sew line, with the sew line dividing the label into an upper portion and a lower portion. The RFID chip and the slot of the antenna are positioned within the upper portion of the label, which may itself be positioned within a seam or neckline or waistband of the piece of merchandise.
MEDICATION CONTAINERS INCORPORATING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH CONTAINERS
Medication containers are provided with a body having a wireless communication device secured to a lower surface of the body. The wireless communication device includes an RFID chip and a slot-loop hybrid antenna electrically coupled to the RFID chip. The antenna includes a conductor sheet defining a slot and an aperture. The body defines a downwardly extending cell that is configured to receive a medication, with the aperture of the conductor sheet receiving at least a portion of the cell. The conductor sheet may include a plurality of apertures and the body may define a plurality of cells, with each aperture receiving a different one of the cells. A cover may be secured to an upper surface of the body to enclose the medication within the cell. If the medication container includes a plurality of cells and a frangible cover, it may be configured as a blister pack.
IC TAG AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
An IC tag according to the present invention includes: a base sheet having a first surface and a second surface; an IC chip arranged on the first surface of the base sheet; an antenna that is arranged on the first surface of the base sheet and is configured to electrically transmit and receive information stored in the IC chip; and a protective sheet that is fixed to the first surface of the base sheet via a bonding agent, so as to cover the IC chip and the antenna. The protection sheet has a protruding portion that protrudes along the IC chip.
A METHOD OF CONNECTING CIRCUIT ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a method of connecting circuit elements and a corresponding system for connecting circuit elements. The method includes providing a plurality of flexible circuit elements on a carrier element; forming a connecting structure. The formed connecting structure includes at least two contact points; and operative connections between each of the plurality of flexible circuit elements and the at least two contact points. The method further includes severing the operative connection between at least one of the plurality of flexible circuit elements and the at least two contact points.
CHIP MODULE AND METHOD FOR FORMING A CHIP MODULE
A chip module having a chip coupled to at least one electrically conductive region including a metal, and a coating of the at least one electrically conductive region with a layer of at least one organic silicon compound and/or a form of carbon in a thickness having an electrical surface contact resistance of not more than 500 mΩ according to ISO 7810 in a measurement in accordance with ISO 10373-1.
RFID ASSEMBLY
An RFID assembly that includes both a UHF patch antenna and an HF or LF loop antenna is provided. The patch antenna and the loop antenna are arranged inside a housing in such a manner that the loop antenna partially overlaps an end portion of the patch antenna, thereby forming an extension of the patch antenna. In this manner, a performance of the UHF patch antenna can be maintained despite decreasing the size of the same, while an interference between the patch antenna and the loop antenna can be suppressed, in particular, by providing a gap between the same.
A BIOMETRIC SENSOR MODULE FOR CARD INTEGRATION
A biometric sensor module for detecting a biometric feature of a user comprises: a biometric sensor comprising an array of sensing elements for acquiring sensing signals indicative of a biometric feature of a user, the array of sensing elements arranged facing towards a front side of the biometric sensor. Further, the biometric sensor module comprises a bottom flexible film attached to a back side, opposite the front side, of the biometric sensor. The bottom flexible film can carry at least one electrically conductive line electrically connectable to the biometric sensor and electrically connectable to an external electrical circuit. The biometric sensor module further comprises a top film attached to the biometric sensor closer to the front side of the biometric sensor than the bottom flexible film. The flexible film includes a bent portion such that the flexible film is bent towards the top film.
Transaction card with lightweight core
Provided are transaction cards with a reduced weight core. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having a first outer layer opposite a second outer layer, and a corrugated core between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, wherein the corrugated core comprises a plurality of alternating peaks and valleys coupled to the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The transaction card may further include an identification chip positioned through the first outer layer, wherein the identification chip is directly coupled to the corrugated core.
Mounts for tracking devices
Mounts for securing a tracking device to an object. The mounts include a case and a coupler system. The case includes a body defining a port complementarily configured with the tracking device to receive the tracking device. The coupler system is configured to couple the case to the object and includes a fabric expanse.
STICK-ON SECURE HOLDER FOR TRACKING DEVICES
A holder or mounting device for attaching or affixing an electronic tracking device such as an Apple™ AirTag™ or Tile™ to a tracked item or object. In example embodiments, the holder or mounting device may include an adhesive, a cord, a clip, a strap or other attachment means.
