Payment card with removable insert and identification elements
Aspects described herein may allow for a payment card assembly including a payment card having a first surface, an opposed second surface, and an aperture extending through the payment card from the first surface to the second surface. An insert may be removably received in the aperture. Each of a plurality of identification elements may be configured to be removably received in the aperture and have an identification characteristic different than an identification characteristic of each of the other identification elements.
RFID SYSTEMS FOR USE WITH TIRES
Radio frequency identification (RFID) systems for use with tires include a stud comprising reactive strap technology including an RFID chip and conductor. The stud is configured so as to be connected to a tire and to provide near field communication. The stud also may be coupled to an antenna structure to provide a far field RFID tag. The stud may unintentionally move with respect to the antenna structure during use, so the antenna structure may be configured to accommodate such movement without a change in the tuning of the RFID tag. A multi-antenna label may be provided to allow for selective coupling of the stud to a particular antenna, with differently configured tires being coupled to different antennas of the same type of multi-antenna label, which allows for the same label configuration to be used with a wider variety of tires.
3D-PRINTED COMPONENTS WITH RFID CONNECTION DETECTION
Systems and methods are described herein for detecting connections between components, such as 3D-printed components, using RFID tags, readers, and/or writers. For example, an RFID reader may read an identification code from an RFID tag that is at least partially 3D-printed as part of a first 3D-printed component to verify the connection to a second 3D-printed component. In various examples, the RFID reader may detect different identification codes depending on whether the first 3D-printed component is correctly connected to the second 3D-printed component, incorrectly connected to the second 3D-printed component, and/or connected to the second 3D-printed component in the past.
Modular transaction card
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device, system, methods and components related to a modular card. Example components of the modular card include a thin rectangular rear plate, a thin rectangular front plate overlying the rear plate, a first plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular front plate, a second plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular rear plate, the second plurality of fasteners being configured to be removably engaged with the first plurality of fasteners; a magnetic strip, and/or an integrated circuit. In operation a user may remove and/or replace various components to customize the modular card. Some customizations include altering the accounts to which the modular card relates. In some example, the modular card may include components which relate to different accounts.
Two-piece transaction card construction
The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction card constructions, and particularly, to a two-piece transaction card construction. Disclosed embodiments include a generally planar first card component including a first surface and a generally planar second card component including a second surface wherein the first card component is separate from the second card component. In disclosed embodiments, for example, the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a cavity and the other forms an inlay component configured to be seated within the cavity. In other embodiments the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a container and the other forms a lid configured to close the container.
Two piece dual layer transaction device
A two part dual layer transaction device comprising a computerized master unit powered by rechargeable battery, the master unit capable of connecting wirelessly to a data network and accessing at least one network server, the master unit having a length, a width, and an internal volume, and a transaction card element having a form factor acceptable for use as a debit or credit card, wherein the transaction card element may be docked or otherwise coupled to the master unit in an idle state and may be uncoupled by the user for the purpose using or cleaning the card element.
CHIP CARD MODULE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CHIP CARD MODULE
In various embodiments, a chip card module is provided. The chip card module includes a chip card module contact array having six contact pads that are arranged in two rows having three contact pads each in accordance with ISO 7816, and three additional contact pads that are arranged between the two rows. Each additional contact pad is electrically conductively connected to a respective associated contact pad from a row from the two rows.
Device, System, and Method for Detection of Medical Device Components and/or Mating Thereof
Provided is a medical device assembly for detection of medical device components and/or mating thereof. The medical device assembly may include a first medical device component having at least one first resonant structure, which may have a first resonant frequency spectrum. A second medical device component may have at least one second resonant structure, which may have a second resonant frequency spectrum different than the first resonant frequency spectrum. Upon mating of the first medical device component to the second medical device component, the first resonant structure(s) and the second resonant structure(s) may combine to have a third resonant frequency spectrum, which may be different than the first resonant frequency spectrum and the second resonant frequency spectrum. A system and method are also disclosed.
Security device for product packaging
An RFID security device for product packaging is disclosed. The security device includes an RFID tag disposed on a first portion of a product package, and a booster antenna disposed on a second portion of the product package. The RFID tag and booster antenna are positioned on the product package so that the RFID tag will be electromagnetically coupled to the booster antenna when the product package is closed, and the RFID tag will be decoupled from the booster antenna when the product package is open.
