Printing device reading information from and writing information to storage element provided on tape
In a printing device, a supply portion is configured to convey a tape in its longitudinal direction. The tape includes: a plurality of labels arranged continuously in the longitudinal direction; and a plurality of storage elements provided on respective ones of the plurality of labels. A first storage element is provided on a first label and configured to store first authentication data. The second storage element is provided on a second label and configured to store second authentication data. A printing portion is configured to print on the plurality of labels. A controller is configured to perform: reading the first authentication data from the first storage element and the second authentication data from the second storage element by a reading portion; and determining whether the first authentication data is correlated to the second authentication data to meet an authentication condition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SECURE IDENTIFICATION SOLUTIONS
The present invention provides a method and system for verifying and tracking identification information. In an embodiment of the invention, a system for delivering security solutions is provided that includes at least one of the following: a radio frequency (RF) identification device, an identification mechanism (e.g., a card, sticker), and an RF reader.
System for barcode scanning and RFID label printing
A system for processing barcode information provided by the user, which may be used to print and encode RFID-enabled product labels. The system may include a bar code scanner or may include a manual bar code entry interface such as a keyboard and mouse, and may be configured to output a label corresponding to a barcode once the barcode has been scanned, optionally with user customization by an operator and optionally including variable data provided through a variable data module. This system may allow for the calculation of EPC values, the tracking of serial values used in the printing process, exporting of the printing history, and printing and encoding of tag.
MEDICATION CONTAINERS INCORPORATING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH CONTAINERS
Medication containers are provided with a body having a wireless communication device secured to a lower surface of the body. The wireless communication device includes an RFID chip and a slot-loop hybrid antenna electrically coupled to the RFID chip. The antenna includes a conductor sheet defining a slot and an aperture. The body defines a downwardly extending cell that is configured to receive a medication, with the aperture of the conductor sheet receiving at least a portion of the cell. The conductor sheet may include a plurality of apertures and the body may define a plurality of cells, with each aperture receiving a different one of the cells. A cover may be secured to an upper surface of the body to enclose the medication within the cell. If the medication container includes a plurality of cells and a frangible cover, it may be configured as a blister pack.
RFID LABEL
The invention concerns a RFID label for marking containers or equipment, preferably in a laboratory environment and including in particular cylindrical bottles, vials, syringes, etc., by adhering the RFID layer to a surface thereof. The RFID label has a flat flexible support material base (11), at least one RFID microelectronic device (5c) included in the flat support material base (11), and at least one antenna (5a,5b) connected with the at least one RFID microelectronic device (5c) and included in the flat support material base (11). The flat support material base (11) has a number of predefined cuts (8) distributed about its outer periphery and/or the at least one RFID microelectronic device (5c) includes a tamper detection function and a conductive loop (5d) connected with tamper detection function terminals of the RFID microelectronic device (5c) is included in the flat support material base (11).
Smart Consumables/Identifier Label and Antenna for Smart Consumables/Identifier Label
The invention concerns a label 1 for marking containers or equipment by adhering the label to a surface thereof, the label 1 comprising a support material base 11, at least one RFID microelectronic device 5c included in the support material base 11, and a plurality of antennas 5a,5b for different frequency ranges connected with the at least one RFID microelectronic device 5c and included in the support material base 11, wherein the plurality of antennas 5a, 5b include a first antenna 5a for the frequency range of 860 to 960 MHz and having a theoretical read range peak of more than 4 m when provided on a glass surface, wherein the label has a dimension of 40 mm*20 mm or less.
Radio frequency communication device and a method for using thereof
A radio frequency communication device includes a conductive loop electrically connected to an integrated circuit arrangement and a pair of opposing elongated conductors extending away from the conductive loop.
GAMING CHIP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A new type of RFID tag is provided. A gaming chip that incorporates a sticker-type RFID tag comprises: an enclosing member having a predetermined shape for enclosing the RFID tag; a body member that is injection-molded to encapsulate the enclosing member with the RFID tag; and a gaming chip for amusement. The enclosing member consists of a first part and a second part, and at least the first part or the second part has a flat surface to which a sticker-type RFID tag can adhere, and the first part and the second part are combined to form an enclosing member, in which the sticker-type RFID tag is covered by the first part and the second part.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIRTUAL HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, by a processing system including a processor of an end user device of a user, medication information indicating a reminder to take a medication, where the medication information is received over a wireless network from a virtual healthcare assistant operating on a customer device located at a premises, and where the medication information indicates an identification of a wireless transceiver of a medicine container that houses the medication to be dispensed. The end user device determines a user position and determines a container position of the medicine container. The end user device presents navigation information that facilitates movement by the user towards the medicine container. In other embodiments, a display device can be from among a group of display devices according to a position of the user in the premises; and a video conference can be established with the communication device of the healthcare provider that is presented at the display device of the user. Other embodiments are disclosed.
REUSABLE CONTAINER USE INCENTIVIZING
The use of reusable containers is coupled to merchant loyalty programs. Use of a reusable container by a customer in a transaction with a merchant earns benefits in the merchant's loyalty program to incentivize use of the reusable container. Each reusable container incorporates unique identity information. The unique identity information is associated with a customer. Used reusable containers can be exchanged for reprocessed or new reusable containers, and customer associations updated when containers are exchanged. Merchants associated with different corporate entities can participate together where reusable containers can be exchanged between different corporate entities.
