In some embodiments, an RFID device includes an RFID chip, a first antenna coupled to the RFID chip, and a cardboard substrate. The RFID chip may be at least one of attached to the cardboard substrate at a position and embedded within the cardboard substrate at the position. The cardboard substrate may form at least part of a carton blank configured to cover the RFID chip position with at least one layer of cardboard when the carton blank has been assembled into a closed box.

Additively manufactured tamper evident container

A tamper evident container includes a container body having walls surrounding a cavity. The walls are composed of a non-electrically conductive material and at least one integrity sensor that is embedded in the non-electrically conductive material. A monitoring circuit is configured to monitor the tamper evident container using the at least one integrity sensor and determine a state-of-health of the tamper evident container.

Fastening member loosening detection tag

A tag configured to detect loosening of a fastening member fastened to a fastened part of an apparatus includes: a base sheet including a fastening member attached portion and a fastened part attached portion, the fastening member attached portion being attached to the fastening member, the fastened part attached portion being attached to the fastened part; a RFID chip mounted on the base sheet; an antenna circuit mounted on the base sheet while being connected to the RFID chip; and an electric conductor mounted on the base sheet while being connected to the RFID chip, the electric conductor being configured such that an electric property of the electric conductor changes when the fastening member is displaced relative to the fastened part attached portion.

The invention relates to a package comprising: a container having a cavity; closing means that can adopt, with the container, a closed configuration in which the closing means prevent access to the cavity, or an open configuration in which the closing means allow access to the cavity; a seal guaranteeing that the package is maintained in its closed configuration, the seal comprising a part that is irreversibly degradable when the package switches from the closed configuration to the open configuration, the seal comprising a radio identification electronic chip.

NFC-powered LED sticker with integral capacitor

An LED sticker is disclosed that receives an NFC transmission from a nearby smartphone to energize LEDs in the sticker. A spiral (or loop) antenna is used in the sticker to generate power from the NFC transmission. The NFC signal is at 13.56 MHz, which is the resonant frequency of the NFC antenna circuit in the smartphone. The LED portion is formed by sandwiching pre-formed microscopic LEDs between two conductive layers to connect the LEDs in parallel. The conductive layers form a relatively large integral capacitor that is used to achieve the 13.56 MHz resonant frequency. So no additional capacitor is needed in the circuit to achieve a resonance of 13.56 MHz. This greatly reduces the design requirements of the antenna. The LED sticker may also contain an NFC tag having its own independent loop antenna and NFC chip. Various practical applications of the LED sticker are disclosed.

REGULATORY ENTITY REGISTRATION VERIFICATION AND AGE VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR CONSUMER PRODUCTS

A method for confirming regulatory entity registration of a consumer product and verifying age of a user of the consumer product includes coupling a radio frequency tag to the consumer product, storing in a database a record for each of a plurality of consumer products, and a record for each of a plurality of consumers, executing an application on a computing device for reading identifying data from the radio frequency tag and transmitting said data to a server that accesses a record in the database that corresponds to the product and transmitting a confirmation of regulatory entity registration of the consumer product to the application, wherein the application further reads user identification data and transmits it to the server which calculates an age of the user based on the user identification data, and if the age of the user is above a predefined age, then storing the user identification data.

CLOSURE ELEMENT

A closure element for closing a container, comprises an inner cap member to be coupled with a mouth of the container; an outer cap member rotatably coupled to the inner cap member, and a transponder housed between the inner cap member and the outer cap member. the transponder comprises a chip, an antenna, and a control loop. The chip is attached to one of a top wall of the inner cap member and a top wall of the outer cap member and at least a portion of the control loop is attached to the other of a top wall of the inner cap member and a top wall of the outer cap member, in such a way that a relative rotation of outer cap member and the inner cap member determines a torsion or shear force to act on the control loop to break it.

3D-PRINTED COMPONENTS WITH RFID CONNECTION DETECTION

Systems and methods are described herein for detecting connections between components, such as 3D-printed components, using RFID tags, readers, and/or writers. For example, an RFID reader may read an identification code from an RFID tag that is at least partially 3D-printed as part of a first 3D-printed component to verify the connection to a second 3D-printed component. In various examples, the RFID reader may detect different identification codes depending on whether the first 3D-printed component is correctly connected to the second 3D-printed component, incorrectly connected to the second 3D-printed component, and/or connected to the second 3D-printed component in the past.

In some implementations, a wireless sensing system may receive sensor data associated with an asset. The sensor data may be associated with a tampering event and the tampering event may include an action performed on the asset. The wireless sensing system may further determine whether the tampering event is performed by an authorized user of the wireless sensing system. The wireless sensing system may further determine whether the tampering event is performed within an authorized location of the wireless sensing system. The wireless sensing system may transmit a notification to a user of the wireless sensing system. The notification may alert the user of the wireless sensing system that the tampering event has occurred.
