SYSTEM FOR MANAGING PRODUCT STOCKS WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR HOUSEHOLD USE
The system (1) comprises a plurality of products stored in dedicated product containers (RC), a computer server (S RC) hosting a product stock management software module (GSP, GS) and connected to an extended data communication network (IP), a weighing device (BC) interconnected with the computer server (S-RC) through a wireless data communication link (RWF, L5) and through the extended data communication network, and a user computer device (UD) connected to the computer server and hosting a software application (APPLI), the product containers each comprising an identification tag storing an identification number, and the weighing device comprising an identification reader module. According to the invention, the reader module is a radio-identification reader module and the tag is a radio-identification tag having a location distance from a placement surface of the container which is at most equal to a radio detection height of the reader module from a weighing surface (SP) of the weighing device, and the weighing device comprises an accelerometer and means arranged so as ensure that the weighing device is put on standby, or woken up, on the basis of movement information supplied by the accelerometer.
Industrial printer
A high speed tabletop and industrial printer is disclosed with integrated high speed RFID encoding and verification at the same time. The industrial printer simultaneously prints on and electronically encodes/verifies RFID labels, tags, and/or stickers attached to a continuous web. The industrial printer comprises a lighted sensor array for indexing the printing to the RFID tags; and a cutter powered from the industrial printer for cutting the web that the RFID tags are disposed on. The industrial printer comprises two RFID reader/writers that are individually controlled. Specifically, one of the RFID reader/writers comprises the ability to electronically encode the RFID tags while the web is moving; and the second RFID reader/writer uses an additional RFID module and antenna on the printer for verifying the data encoded to the RFID tags.
System and method for programming pluggable transceivers
Systems and methods for programming pluggable transceivers are provided. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving RFID data from an RFID device in proximity to a network transceiver via an RFID antenna in the network transceiver, said RFID data defining an operating configuration of the network transceiver; and programming the network transceiver according to the operating configuration defined by the received RFID data. In an embodiment, a network transceiver includes: a host interface for connecting to a host; a network interface for transmitting and receiving signals to and from a network; an RFID antenna for receiving RFID data; and a controller in operative communication with the network interface and the RFID antenna, said controller operating the network interface according to an operating configuration, wherein the operating configuration of the controller is programmed using the RFID data received via the RFID antenna. Various other embodiments are also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AND PROCESSING TRANSPORTATION AND SHIPPING DOCUMENTATION
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for producing and processing transportation and shipping documents. Embodiments thereof effectively utilize a combination of accurate data collection of vehicle loaded packaging/parts departing a location at, e.g., an exit portal of dock, creation of an electronic BOL populated with that accurate data and other shipping information, which can launch an efficient over the road capability from initial journey to destination with enhanced visibility throughout.
ADAPTIVE RFID INVENTORY SYSTEM
An adaptive inventory management system for use in a materials handling facility storing a plurality of items that are each associated with a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag. The management system including a global inventory database subsystem and a RFID interrogator subsystem comprising a plurality of RFID interrogators that are each configured to read the unique identifier of the RFID tag associated with each of the plurality of items that are within a defined boundary of at least one scan zone generated by the respective RFID interrogator and to communicate the unique identifier of the each scanned RFID tag identified within each scan zone of the respective RFID interrogator to the global inventory database subsystem. The management system being selectively configured to effect user desired levels of fidelity and/or resolution with respect to the generated unique identifier of the each scanned RFID tag within a defined space of the materials handling facility.
IC CARD, IC CARD PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
According to an embodiment, an IC card includes a communication interface and a processor. The communication interface communicates with an IC card processing apparatus. The processor transmits extended format support information indicating whether an extended format is supported for each of commands to the IC card processing apparatus.
RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID) PRINTER WITH A ROTATABLE ANTENNA BRACKET COMPONENT
A radio-frequency identification (RFID) printer is provided. The RFID printer may include an RFID antenna component and a rotatable antenna bracket component. The rotatable antenna bracket component may include a first knob portion, a first elongated portion and a first side portion projecting from a first end of the first elongated portion and connecting the first elongated portion to the first knob portion. The RFID antenna component may be secured in the first elongated portion.
ID-BASED CONTROL UNIT-KEY FOB PAIRING
A method for pairing a key fob with a control unit is provided. The key fob executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with a pairing device based on a key fob identification to authenticate one another and to generate a first encryption key. The pairing device encrypts a control unit identification using the first encryption key. The key fob receives the encrypted control unit identification transmitted from the pairing device. The key fob then executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with the control unit based on the control unit identification to authenticate one another and to generate a second encryption key. The key fob then receives an operational key transmitted from the control unit that is encrypted with the second encryption key.
Systems and methods for utilizing wireless programmable credentials
Various embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for performing updates of credentials used in relation to RFID readers. As an example, some embodiments of the present invention provide methods for updating credentials capable of authorization to an RFID reader. Such methods include providing a cellular telephone that includes a memory, a cellular telephone interface, and an nfc interface. An access is received via the cellular telephone interface, and is stored to the memory. Communication with an RFID reader is initiated via the nfc interface, and the access update is provided to the RFID reader for authorization
