Disclosed are scanning equipment, a method, a device and a storage medium thereof. The equipment comprises a rotatable rotating component, a scanning device, and a positioning device, where: the positioning device is used for respectively positioning the rotating component rotated to different predetermined positions, and the scanning device is used for scanning goods held on the rotating component having been positioned.
METHOD OF OBTAINING AT LEAST ONE OPERATING PARAMETER OF AN ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION COMPONENT
A method of obtaining at least one operating parameter of an electrical substation component. The method comprises: providing the electrical substation component with a machine-readable code, non-human-readable, including the a operating parameter of the electrical substation component, the operating parameter includes a network connection parameter corresponding to the electrical substation component; providing an electronic module able to read the network connection parameter from the machine-readable code, the electrical substation component and the electronic module are in communication with a communications network; configuring the electronic module to read the network connection parameter from the machine-readable code and retrieve the network connection parameter from the machine-readable code; configuring the electronic module to use the network connection parameter retrieved from the machine-readable code to form a direct network connection with the electrical substation component to enable communication between the electronic module and the electrical substation component via a digital communication link.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LABELING CONSUMER ITEMS WITH UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS
In some embodiments, methods of tracking uniquely labeled products are provided. An item representing one unit of a consumer product may be labeled with a unique label via automatically generating a random identifier unique to the item, associating the randomly-generated identifier with the item in a record of an electronic database, creating a label comprising a substrate and the randomly-generated identifier, applying the label to the item, and tracking the item via obtaining the randomly-generated identifier from the label. Products labeled with unique identifiers via such methods are also provided.
WEARABLE PERSONAL DIGITAL DEVICE FOR FACILITATING MOBILE DEVICE PAYMENTS AND PERSONAL USE
Provided are a wearable personal digital device and related methods. The wearable personal digital device may comprise a processor, a display, biometric sensors, activity tracking sensors, a memory unit, a communication circuit, a housing, an input unit, a projector, a timepiece unit, a haptic touch control actuator, and a band. The processor may be operable to receive data from an external device, provide a notification to a user based on the data, receive a user input, and perform a command selected based on the user input. The communication circuit may be communicatively coupled to the processor and operable to connect to a wireless network and communicate with the external device. The housing may be adapted to enclose the components of the wearable personal digital device. The band may be adapted to attach to the housing and secure the wearable personal digital device on a user body.
Interactive Mirror
The present invention relates to an interactive mirror (1) and to a method for displaying information on an interactive mirror (1).
Method and apparatus for ordering code candidates in image for decoding attempts
A method and apparatus for decoding codes applied to objects for use with a camera and a conveyor system wherein the camera includes an image sensor having a two dimensional field of view (FOV) and the conveyor system moves objects in a first direction of travel through the FOV such that objects enter the FOV along an entry edge and exit the FOV along an exit edge, the method comprising the steps of providing a processor programmed to perform the steps of obtaining images of the FOV, for each image identifying code candidates in at least portions of the image, ordering at least a subset of the code candidates for decoding in a candidate order wherein the candidate order is determined at least in part as a function of the first direction of travel through the FOV, attempting to decode code candidates in the order specified by the direction of travel and when a new image event occurs, foregoing attempts to decode at least a portion of the identified code candidates.
DRIVE-THRU / POINT-OF-SALE AUTOMATED TRANSACTION TECHNOLOGIES AND APPARATUS
The present invention includes methods and apparatus for the automated provision of goods through the use of scanning systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for automatically conveying which goods are being ordered, where the goods will be picked up, an associated method of payment, kitchen fulfillment, item tracking, and automatic delivery by a dispenser apparatus. In preferred embodiments, the present invention is applied to the automated ordering and pick-up of food items at a fast food restaurant and delivery to a food dispenser at a customer location.
Identifying a specially designated object to facilitate dynamic promotions related to use of the object
In accordance with some embodiments, a physical game element such as a wagering chip or a playing card may be utilized to implement a promotion scheme on an electronic card table (e.g., using RFID or optical imaging technology). During a game it may be determined whether the element is associated with special functionality (e.g., entitles the player to a payout multiplier, special payout table, bonus prize or other benefit). The special functionality may have been previously associated with the element or associated with the element during the game (e.g., dynamically and/or randomly). In accordance with some embodiments a player is not able to readily discern the special functionality by a physical inspection of the physical game element and is only notified of the special functionality once the physical game element is used in a qualifying action (e.g., during a wager at an electronic card table).
DEVICE PAIRING WITH OPTICAL CODES
Embodiments for device pairing using optical codes are described. One embodiment is a wearable device with an image sensor configured to capture an image including a first optical code from a first host device. The wearable device decodes the first optical code, and in response to the first optical code, initiates broadcast of a pairing advertisement. The host device displays a second optical code in response to the pairing advertisement, and the wearable device captures and processes the second optical code to determine a host pairing advertisement code. The wearable device then, in response to the second optical code, initiate broadcast of a second pairing advertisement including the host pairing advertisement code. In various embodiments, a secure wireless channel is then established and used for further secure communications.
