A dose counting mechanism for an aerosol dispenser is presented where the dose counting mechanism has a first body structure, a second body structure rotatably attached to the first body structure, an annular dose counter provided with a plurality of teeth along its perimeter, the dose counter being arranged coaxially with the first body structure and the second body structure, each of the first body structure and the second body structure being rotatable relative to the dose counter, a rotatable actuator that meshes with the teeth of the dose counter, the actuator being configured to follow the perimeter of the dose counter when the second body structure is rotated relative to the first body structure, and a rotator that rotates concurrently with one of the first body structure and the second body structure and that engages with the actuator when rotation of the first body structure relative to the second body structure is initiated.

DOSE COUNTER ASSEMBLIES FOR MEDICAMENT DISPENSERS

There is provided a dose counter assembly for use with a medicament dispenser, the dose counter assembly comprising: a) a units dose display means comprising a first count indicia and one or more driver teeth; b) a tens dose display means comprising a second count indicia; and c) a driver, wherein the first count indicia and second count indicia align at a common viewing area to collectively display a count sequence.

Finger-mounted mechanical counter

The finger-mounted mechanical counter is a numerical counter that may be worn on the finger of a user. First, second and third wheels each have a set of indicia formed thereon, each set of indicia being a circumferentially arrayed set of integers, such as a continuous range from 0 to 9. The first, second and third wheels are rotatably mounted within a housing having corresponding first, second and third slots formed therein for display of the corresponding indicia. The housing defines a central passage which is adapted for receiving the finger of the user. After a full rotation of the first wheel, the second wheel is rotated by a single increment, and after full rotation of the second wheel, the third wheel is rotated by a single increment, allowing for consecutive counting from single digits to double digits to triple digits.

Dose indicators with a resilient deformable element

The present disclosure relates to a dose indicator for a pressure-actuated metered dose inhaler (pMDI) device. In an embodiment, the dose indicator comprises a chassis element having a viewing portion, a display element located within the chassis element, a resilient deformable element, and an indexing element having an axis, translation of the indexing element along its axis from a first position to a second position causing deformation of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element resulting in generally greater displacement of portions of the resilient deformable element nearer to the axis relative to portions thereof further from the axis, the displacement of the portions of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element inducing indexing of the display element from a current position to a subsequent position relative to the viewing portion of the chassis element.

Nebulizer

A nebulizer for nebulizing a liquid from a container includes a fluid pump for withdrawing the liquid in doses from the container and pressurizing the respective doses for nebulization. The nebulizer includes in addition an air pump with a piston/cylinder arrangement for pumping air into the container to pressurize the liquid in the container to help withdrawing the liquid from the container.

Dose indicator for a metered dose inhaler

The present disclosure relates to a dose indicator comprising, a chassis comprising a chassis frame and a displacement portion, an indexable first display unit, mountable on the chassis, the first display unit being indexable about a first display axis, the indexable first display unit comprising a plurality of indexing teeth, a first display non-return arm, and a drive pawl connected at its proximal part to the displacement portion, the drive pawl comprising a socket at its distal part, the socket being adapted to engage an indexing tooth of the first display unit during indexing. The disclosure further relates to an actuator for an inhaler, wherein the actuator comprises a dose indicator as described above. The present disclosure is also directed to an inhaler comprising such actuator.

Counter and handheld device with counter
