COUNTING MACHINE AND METHODS OF COUNTING ITEMS
In some embodiments, a counting machine may include a counting area configured to count a plurality of items. The counting area may include a fixed pressure plate, a movable pressure plate, and one or more sensors configured to measure the distance between the fixed pressure plate and the movable pressure plate, and a processor configured to determine the number of items in the counting area by comparing a sampled thickness value to the thickness of the items located between the fixed pressure plate and the movable pressure plate.
Connected smart counter
Approaches describe a mobile computing device, e.g., an ergonomically configured connected counting device, to capture counts of people, products, or any countable object, store the counts and associated information in a central repository for access by other connected counting devices. The counts and associated qualifying information can then be displayed through mobile devices and web applications, and can display count data with sales, demographic and other qualifying data sources to provide information for qualitative and quantitative reporting, as well as enable count based automated promotions through traditional channels and social networks.
Capacity counter system
A capacity counter system has a central capacity controller, a clicker to indicate when people enter or leave an area, and a video system for displaying a running count of how many people are in the area. The controller, clicker and video system communicate wirelessly using protocols that allow the controller to communicate with a plurality of clickers while being in close proximity to other controllers serving adjacent areas.

Tool tracking and data collection assembly
Tooling and corresponding tool assembly configurations equipped with exemplary designs of tracking assemblies configured to track information, such as use history, and perform a variety of processing and storage functions relative to the same for more efficient use and maintenance of the tooling over their lifetimes. The tracking assemblies can have retrofit-ready constructions.
Mechanical Energy-Based Self-Powering Counting System
A mechanical energy-based self-powering counting system is provided. The system includes an electromagnetic power generator, a count measuring circuit, a count energy supply circuit, a controller and a wireless transmission module. The electromagnetic power generator is driven by an external device and produces an electric signal and outputs the electric signal to the controller after passing it through the count measuring circuit. The controller processes the received signal, updates a count according to certain programming rules and sends data to the wireless transmission module. The energy from the electromagnetic power generator flowing through the count measuring circuit can supply power to the controller. An energy storage module in the count energy supply circuit performs voltage feedback on the controller. The controller monitors the voltage of the energy storage module to control whether it enters a charging state.

Passive Micromechanical Counter
A passive micromechanical counter for counting and storing a number of mechanical pulses includes at least one memory cell, the memory cell having a cell input, a latching mechanism and an electromechanical coding unit, the cell input being designed to mechanically transmit the mechanical pulse to the latching mechanism, and the latching mechanism being designed to store the number of mechanical pulses transmitted by means of its discrete latching position. It is provided that an electrical digital signal can be generated by applying an electrical voltage to the electromechanical coding unit, the electrical digital signal representing the discrete latching position of the latching mechanism.
Electric plug-in connector having a plugging cycle counter
An electric plug-in connector comprising: an electric contact structure accommodated in an enclosure; and a plugging cycle counter including a piezoelectric sensor mechanically connected to the contact structure and/or to the enclosure. The piezoelectric sensor senses joining of the electric contact structure to a corresponding electric contact structure.
