Fuel Dispenser Utilizing Wi-Fi Direct User Interface
A fuel dispenser comprises fuel flow piping defining a flow path from a source of fuel toward a fueling nozzle. A plurality of fuel handling components are disposed along the fuel flow piping. Control electronics are in operative communication with the fluid handling components. The fuel dispenser includes network circuitry operative to create a wireless peer to peer network with an adjacent vehicle. After creation of such network, the control electronics receive transaction information from the vehicle in electronic form via the network circuitry, and cause at least one function of the fuel dispenser to be controlled for a transaction based on the transaction information.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A VENDING MACHINE
A system for monitoring a vending machine is presented, the vending machine includes a controller and associated memory configured to store information associated with the condition of the vending machine. The vending machine also has a first short range transceiver configured to transmit the information associated with the condition of the vending machine, a first distance. A plurality of mobile devices each having a second short range transceiver and a first long range transceiver, the mobile devices configured to receive information associated with the condition of the vending machine and transmit it via the long range transceiver. A second long range transceiver is associated with a server coupled to the second long range transceiver. The server configured to receive the information associated with the condition of the vending machine, the server configured to send a signal to a subset of the plurality mobile device to induce the mobile device to be transported to within the first distance from the vending machine.
WIRELESS PEER TO PEER MOBILE WALLET CONNECTIONS
Disclosed in some examples are devices, systems, and machine readable mediums for establishing peer to peer mobile wallet communications (P2PMW) over short range wireless communication networks. These P2PMW communications allow exchange of information between two wallet clients. Example communications include payments, providing identification, providing loans, and the like. The use of P2PMW communications opens up the prospect of anyone accepting payment from anybody else at any time. All that is needed is a computing device with a mobile wallet. Example short range wireless communications include Wireless LANs (WLAN) such as WIFI (e.g., communicating according to an Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 family of standards), BLUETOOTH® or the like.
PAYMENT USING REWARDS POINTS
A method of payment using rewards is provided. The method includes detecting, by a mobile device of a customer, an authentication device based on a short range wireless communication between the mobile device and the authentication device; in response to detecting the authentication device, retrieving, by the mobile device, authentication data of the customer from the authentication device via the short range wireless communication; populating, by the mobile device, a graphical user interface displayed to the customer using the authentication data retrieved from the authentication device; receiving, by the mobile device, a selection from the customer to send the authentication data to an account management system; sending, by the mobile device, the authentication data to the account management system based on the received selection; and receiving, by the mobile device, a payment option for a transaction based on the customer being authenticated using the authentication data.
CONTEXT-AWARE PEER-TO-PEER TRANSFERS OF ITEMS
In one embodiment, a payment service system may receive a request to split a bill between two or more peer users. The request may include information identifying at least the two or more peer users and an amount of the bill to be split. The two or more peer users may be identified based on determining a presence of two or more mobile devices that are respectively associated with the two or more peer users. The payment service system may send a payment request to each mobile device associated with the two or more peer users. The payment service system may receive a response, which may indicate the respective user's approval of a specified amount for payment of a portion of the bill associated with the user. The payment service system may cause a funds transfer based on specified amounts approved by the two or more peer users.
System for cashless payment of products or services
A system for cashless payment of goods or services is provided which includes at least one payment unit disposed in at least one automat or machine, having at least one transmitting/receiving unit for short range communication; a processing unit; and a memory, wherein the automat or machine is connected to one or more other automats or machines via a short range communication means, at least one mobile device also having a transmitting/receiving device for both short range communication and long range communication, a processing unit and a memory. Many other detailed configurations, functionalities, systems, processes and alternatives thereto are also disclosed.
Method of Authentification of a Consumable for UES with an Aerosol-Generating Device
A method of authenticating a consumable for use with an aerosol generating device, includes initiating a communication between the aerosol generating device and a first entity to obtain the consumable from the first entity for use with the aerosol generating device, the aerosol generating device being associated with a device ID and the consumable being associated with a consumable ID; sending the device ID and the consumable ID from the first entity to a second entity, wherein the second entity is configured to associate and store the device ID with the consumable ID; and verifying use of the consumable with the aerosol generating device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMPLETING A TRANSACTION
A method for completing a transaction includes: a backend server executes an application backend of a transaction application; a first terminal device executes a first application frontend of the transaction application; the first application frontend, for starting a transaction, transmits a transaction request indicating the transaction to be started and a second application frontend different from the first application frontend and comprising transaction data associated with the indicated transaction to the application backend; a second terminal device executes the second application frontend of the transaction application; the application backend provides a transaction link for being connected to by the second application frontend and transmits an authorization request to the second application frontend; the second application frontend authorizes the requested transaction and transmits a transaction authorization to the application backend; and the application backend completes the transaction.
Systems and methods for generating and managing dynamic customized electronic tokens for electronic device interaction
Systems and methods are provided for generating and managing dynamic customized electronic tokens for electronic device interactions. A system for transferring data between a user device associated with a user and a remote device may include a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the stored instructions. The stored instructions may configure the processor to receive, via a network, transaction information from the remote device, access information associated with an electronic token, and provide the electronic token to the remote device. The electronic token may be associated with at least one of the user or the user device, and a token server may generate the electronic token based on the received transaction information, and determine one or more expiration parameters for the electronic token.
Method and system for augmented feature purchase
A computer-implemented augmented reality-based method provides a user device access to data content by processing of camera image captured by the user device to identify a candidate visual area, which are then processed to identify visual features indicative of available data content. The identified features are compared to visual features of database objects indicative of available data content, and a determination made regarding the object that corresponds to the identified features. Instructions are then generated to augment a display of the camera image with selectable image features. In response to a selection of one of the selectable image features, a determination is made regarding whether the user device has permission to access the data content associated with the selected image feature. If not, a payment settlement arrangement is implemented for the user device to gain access permission to the data content.
