METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR POINT OF SALE PAYMENT USING A MOBILE DEVICE
To conduct a payment transaction at a merchant's point of sale using a mobile device, the mobile device initiates an authenticated communication session with a payment agent. The payment agent is an entity responsible for facilitating a payment transaction between the merchant and purchaser via their respective financial institutions. During the authenticated communication session, response to an input indicating the user of the mobile device wishes to make a payment, the mobile device generates a unique payment key that is based on at least one unique data of the mobile device. The mobile device transmits the payment key to the payment agent, and then transfers a copy of the payment key to the point of sale system. The merchant's payment system that transmits the payment key to the payment agent in a transaction request. The payment agent then verifies that the received payment key is the same as they received from the mobile device, and that the authenticated communication session is still valid, and then approves the transaction.
Curbside management system for connected and autonomous vehicles
A curbside management system and method for managing curbside use by connected and/or autonomous vehicles that includes one or more computing devices that execute instructions. One or more processors integrate at least a navigation component, an asset verification component, and a curbside management component, configured to generate recommended curbside access destinations for a vehicle associated with the customer and one of which is selected as the final curbside destination for the vehicle.
Camera activation and image processing for transaction verification
A device may receive first information related to a transaction. The device may identify a first device from which to receive an image of a receipt related to the transaction. The device may provide, to the first device, a notification to cause the first device to perform a set of actions including activating a camera associated with the first device to capture the image of the receipt, or providing, for display, an instruction related to capturing the image of the receipt associated with the transaction. The device may receive, from the first device, the image of the receipt. The device may process the image of the receipt to perform an analysis of the transaction. The device may perform an action related to the transaction based on a result of processing the image of the receipt.
Systems and methods for interactive electronic transactions based on GPS=based device proximity data
Methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure allow a customer or payor to select from a plurality of nearby vendors or payees when a computing device of the payor is physically close to electronic devices of the payees. Payee devices and locations of those payee devices may be identified and displayed on a display of a payor device. Once displayed, a specific payee device may be selected by the customer and an order for a product or service may be sent to the selected payee device from the payor device. After the product or service has been provided to the customer, information that confirms that purchase may be sent to any of the selected payee device, the payor device, or a payment processing computer and funds to pay for the product or service may be deposited into an account of the payee based on the confirmation.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING TRANSACTIONS OF PRODUCTS
Methods and apparatuses for supporting transactions of products are provided. One of the methods comprises, receiving, by a second terminal, information of a seller that is selling the products, from a first terminal, requesting, by the second terminal, verification of the seller's information from a server, in response to successful verification of the seller's information, acquiring, by the second terminal, a transaction identifier for the products from the server, measuring, by the second terminal, a distance from the first terminal creating, by the second terminal, transaction data including the measured distance and the transaction identifier, requesting, by the second terminal, verification of the transaction data from the server and in response to receiving a message indicating successful verification of the transaction data from the server, performing, by the second terminal, a payment routine for the products.
Hands free interaction system and method
A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving a broadcast signal from a beacon device, the broadcast signal encoding a first credential associated with a first entity. In response to receipt of the broadcast signal, the mobile communication device transmits the received first credential to an authentication system. The authentication system determines if the first entity associated with the broadcast signal is authentic and generates a confirmation message confirming the authenticity of the first entity. The mobile communication device then receives the confirmation message indicating that the first entity is authentic. The mobile communication thereafter receives and transmits a second credential for the mobile communication device to the beacon device, which transmits the second credential to the authentication system. The authentication system then confirms the authenticity of the mobile communication device. Then, the beacon device can initiate an interaction process with the user of the mobile communication device.
Voice recognition to authenticate a mobile payment
Systems and methods are provided for authenticating mobile payments from a customer account to a merchant. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider receiving a request to authorize an electronic transaction at a point-of-sale. A financial service provider server computer may verify that the customer is present at the point-of-sale using received location data. An image having distorted text such as a captcha may be transmitted to a device at the point-of-sale, and the customer may read the captcha aloud. A voice sample of the customer may be sent to the financial service provider for comparison to stored voice recordings, to verify that the customer's voice sample is authentic if the voice matches a previously generated voice recording for the account. If the voice sample is authentic, the financial service provider may authorize the mobile payment.
POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH MOBILE PAYMENT FEATURE
A point-of-sale system with a mobile payment feature includes an electronic display, one or more processors, and storage media storing a payment plugin to the point-of-sale system. The payment plugin sends ticket data representing a guest ticket over one or more data networks to an online service provider computer system; receives instruction from the service provider computer system to mark the guest ticket as designated for mobile payment; and causes user interface feedback on the electronic display that the guest ticket is to be paid via mobile payment. By doing so, the merchant is informed through their point-of-sale system that payment of the guest ticket will be facilitated by the online service provider. This alleviates the merchant from collecting payment from the guest before the guest leaves the merchant's premises and allows the guest to leave the premises as soon as the guest ticket is ready for mobile payment.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DISPLAYING ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Systems and methods are provided for displaying account information. The systems and methods may include a portable smart display device in short-range communication with a mobile device. The smart display device may be configured to provide a user with quick and easy yet secure access to account information, without the need for multi-step login and verification processes. The smart display device may be sized to fit within a wallet and within quick, easy reach of a user. The smart display device may receive up-to-date account information from the mobile device, and display the account information on-demand upon detecting an activation event, thereby providing an enjoyable user experience and a useful tool for quickly informing the user of their financial situation.
Systems and methods for use in authenticating consumers in connection with payment account transactions
Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of systems and methods for use in authenticating consumers and/or computing devices to payment accounts. In an exemplary embodiment, a method generally includes generating, by a computing device, an authentication request for a consumer in response to a transaction by the consumer at a merchant. The transaction involves a payment account associated with the consumer, and the authentication request includes a direction to move a communication device associated with the consumer in a manner consistent with a reference movement. The method also includes receiving, by the computing device, an indication of movement of the communication device; comparing, by the computing device, the movement of the communication device to a reference movement; and then authenticating, by the computing device, the consumer to the payment account in connection with the transaction when the comparison indicates that the movement of the communication device matches the reference movement.
