Particular embodiments determine, at least in part by a computing device of a payment service, to associate a data object with a user account that is associated with a stored balance managed by the payment service. The computing device associates an amount of the data object with a distinct stored balance associated with the user account. The distinct stored balance is associated with a condition of use. The computing device monitors transaction data associated with users of the payment service. The computing device identifies, from the transaction data, a transaction associated with an identifier associated with the user account. Based on a determination that the transaction satisfies the condition of use, processing payment for the transaction using at least a portion of the distinct stored balance prior to using the stored balance.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXECUTING ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS AND FILTERING WITH CATEGORIZATION ENGINE

Systems and methods for executing filtered electronic transactions are disclosed. One method includes receiving, by an acquirer system of a filtered transaction processing system, a transaction request including transaction data from a merchant system, the transaction data including enhanced data or non-enhanced data. A status of the merchant system may be determined based on the transaction data, the status of the merchant system indicative of a participating status or a non-participating status. Upon determining the status of the merchant system indicative of the participating status, the transaction request may be transmitted to a first transaction network. The first transaction network may forward the transaction request to a categorization engine of the filtered transaction processing system. The categorization engine may categorize one or more items associated with the transaction request into one or more categories. The transaction request may be executed based on the one or more categories.

In some implementations, a device may receive an indication of information associated with a stored value medium. The device may populate a database with the information associated with the stored value medium, where the database includes a table to link the information associated with the stored value medium with an entity identifier of an entity associated with the stored value medium. The device may receive an indication of an exchange associated with the entity identifier of the entity, where the exchange is not associated with the stored value medium. The device may parse the database using the entity identifier associated with the entity to identify the information associated with the stored value medium indicated in the database. The device may communicate, with a backend system, to enable the exchange to be at least partially completed using the resources associated with the stored value medium.

COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS AND DEVICE CONFIGURED FOR TEMPORARY ELECTRONIC ACCOUNT LINKING TO DISPOSABLE TAGS AND METHODS THEREOF

Systems and methods of the present disclosure processors and devices for providing disposable account cards using a contactless reader and contactless communication tag. A processor receives, via an antenna module from the contactless reader, radio signal data of a radio signal emitted by a contactless tag, where the radio signal data includes encoded tag data including a tag identifier. The processor determines that the contactless tag is a new contactless tag based on the tag identifier being unlinked to any account, and generates a disposable account card identifier in a user account including a unique disposable account number. The processor generates an account link that links the tag identifier to the disposable account card identifier such that the tag identifier refers to the unique disposable account number for performing contactless electronic requests to the user account in place of a user account card.

Systems for Providing Access To and Utilization of Transaction Card Information Via System-Level Settings Tiles and Methods of Use Thereof
20230068008 · 2023-03-02 ·

Systems and methods involving provision of access to and use of transaction card information via system level settings are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary method may comprise enabling a user to access, from a foreground app, one or more system-level GUI elements operable to retrieve card information from within a system-level settings tile of a user computing device, receiving a user request to access the system-level settings tile while the foreground app is still visible/active on the device's screen, providing the settings tile with GUI elements by which the user identifies a card to retrieve and use for a transaction, copying or retrieving the card information pertaining to the user-selected card, and generating one or more app-level GUI elements of the foreground app with the card information to enable an execution of an activity using the desired card within the foreground app.

System and methods for enhanced authorization of prepaid cards

A computer-implemented method for enhancing authorization of prepaid payment cards is provided. The method is implemented using an interchange network and an authorization computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes routing communications between a plurality of merchants and a plurality of issuing banks, providing transaction data for transactions by a plurality of prepaid payment cards, storing a plurality of transaction histories associated with the plurality of prepaid payment cards, receiving, over the interchange network, an authorization request for a payment transaction between a cardholder and an originating merchant initiated using a prepaid payment card, determining a likelihood of a second amount for a related payment transaction from the originating merchant, determining a transaction history associated with the prepaid payment card, determining whether there are sufficient funds associated with the prepaid payment card for the first and second amounts, and notifying the originating merchant of the determination.

An instant disposable payment card can have a quick response (QR) code. The QR code can be scanned by the user. Scanning the QR code can facilitate activation and/or funding of the instant disposable payment card and/or can facilitate a creation of an account or an activation of a pre-created account at a payment system provider. The user can then use the instant payment card to pay for purchases. A merchant can scan the QR code or swipe a magnetic strip of the instant disposable payment card to effect payment to the merchant for the purchase. An account of the instant disposable payment card can be funded after use thereof to make a purchase.

PROCESSING FINANCIAL PRODUCTS

Financing obtained from a lender may be processed by a retailer in a manner similar to a credit card. For example, transaction data associated with a transaction to acquire one or more items from the retailer may be entered at a point of sale terminal of the retailer. A request may be sent for a temporary shopping pass associated with an account of a consumer at the lender. The temporary shopping pass may be used as a virtual payment instrument to access financing (e.g., a loan, a lease, or a credit) provided by the lender. After receiving the temporary shopping pass, the shopping pass data included in the temporary shopping pass, such as a one-time card number, may be entered into the point of sale terminal. The transaction may be completed by processing the shopping pass data as a credit card type tender using the point of sale terminal.
