SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REAL-TIME VIRTUAL GIFT CARD PURCHASING
A computer-implemented method for allowing purchase of virtual gift cards includes receiving a communication indicating a gift card type and specifying a value amount. Responsive to the communication, a purchase of a virtual gift card of that type and storing that value amount is processed. This processing includes processing a payment for the specified value amount. Further, a gift card merchant application programming interface (API) capable of processing a purchase of a virtual gift card of the indicated gift card type is identified from amongst a set of such APIs. That API is used to initiate purchase of the virtual gift card. After the purchase is processed, an indication of the purchased virtual gift card is sent to a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device uses the indication to configure itself to allow transactions using the purchased virtual gift card to be initiated. Fraud detection may also be performed.
Batteryless payment device with wirelessly powered token provisioning
A batteryless payment device is disclosed. According to certain embodiments, the batteryless payment device may include a first communication system and a second communication system, the second communication system being a near-field-communication (NFC) system. The batteryless payment device may also include a power receiver coupled to the first communication system and configured to wirelessly receive power from an external device for powering the first communication system. The batteryless payment device may further include a controller configured to: when the first communication system is powered, establish, via the first communication system, a first wireless connection with a user device; receive, through the first wireless communication, a token from the user device; establish, via the second communication system, a second wireless connection with a payment terminal; and transmit, through the second wireless connection, the token to the payment terminal.
CONNECTED PAYMENT CARD SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods and systems of managing payment cards are disclosed. A financial institution computing system includes a token database storing a plurality of tokens and token information, a network interface circuit enabling the financial institution computing system to exchange information over a network; and a token management circuit. The token management circuit enables a graphical user interface on a customer device over the network that can be used to generate new token requests, re-provision token requests, and management requests. The management requests enable and disable tokens, such that transactions against a payment card account using an enabled token are completed, and transactions against the payment card account using a disabled token are denied.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRACKING OF NON-WAGERING ACCOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH GAMING ENVIRONMENT
Systems and methods are disclosed for associating a player identifier with a financial account. The financial account can holds funds that are accessible through the player's use of a payment vehicle. Information associated with transactions using the payment vehicle can be used for player relationship purposes.
Systems and methods for providing, reloading, and redeeming stored value cards used in transit applications
The invention is directed to systems and methods of conducting transactions associated with a transit card. A method of conducting transactions may be conducted between a processor and a transit processor. Steps may include receiving a redemption request and determining if it is a pre-authorization request or a redemption; if the redemption request is a pre-authorization request, determining if the account is authorized for a particular transit type. If the account is authorized, communicating approval to the transit processor. If the account is not authorized communicating denial. If the redemption request is a redemption: determining if account value is sufficient to pay the redemption amount; if not, denying and if so approving the transaction and deducting the amount, and determining if the account value is below a pre-determined threshold for a particular transit types, and if so, updating the status of the account at a data store.

The mobile computing device uses the indication to configure itself to allow transactions using the purchased virtual gift card to be initiated. Fraud detection may also be performed.
Prepaid card funding for single transaction
A computer-implemented method for prepaid card funding for a single transaction includes receiving, from a client, a request for funding a single transaction using a payment vehicle, providing funds for the single transaction with the payment vehicle, notifying the client that the funds are available for the single transaction with the payment vehicle, receiving notification from the client that the single transaction with the payment vehicle has been completed, and unloading remaining funds from the payment vehicle, such that no funds remain with the payment vehicle.
DETACHABLE RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SWITCH TAG
A radio frequency identification (RFID) switch tag is disclosed. This RFID switch tag includes a base component having an ultra-high frequency (UHF) booster, and a detachable component having at least one UHF RFID module and a high frequency (HF) RFID module. In some embodiments, the detachable component is positioned in close proximity to the base component in a first configuration of the RFID switch tag such that the at least one UHF RFID module is sufficiently coupled to the UHF booster in the base component to form an UHF RFID system having a desired performance. The detachable component can also be separated from the base component to obtain a second configuration of the RFID switch tag, and the HF RFID module remains functional within the detached detachable component so that the detachable component can be used as a standalone HF RFID tag.
Settlement control system, settlement control device, terminal device, settlement control method, processing method, and program
The present invention includes: a plurality of terminal devices configured to wirelessly communicate with a balance storage medium; and a settlement control device that is communicably connected to each of the plurality of terminal devices. The settlement control device includes an update instruction distribution unit that distributes, to each of the terminal devices, balance update instruction information including a balance update instruction and an update instruction identification number corresponding to the balance update instruction. The terminal device includes an update control unit that performs balance update processing corresponding to the balance update instruction on the basis of a comparison between an update instruction identification number that has been acquired from the balance storage medium and that is recorded in the balance storage medium, and the update instruction identification number included in the balance update instruction information.
Customized Payment Card and a Method for Generating the Customized Payment Card
The present invention relates to a multifunctional payment card configured to be used for a variety of purposes wherein money can be easily transferred from any credit card, debit card, and/or bank account onto the card. Money spent using the card can be tracked using a card ordering software application and money can be added/transferred to the card or removed from the card. A card generation system generates the payment card and a user may use the card ordering software application for ordering and customizing the card. The card can be used as a gift card and prepaid card. The card is provided both as a physical card and a digital card.
