Authorizing a payment with a multi-function transaction card
A multi-function transaction card may include a card body having dimensions that are in accordance with a standard for transaction cards, an output device on the card body, and a secure element within the card body. The multi-function transaction card may pair, via a wireless connection, the multi-function transaction card with a terminal. The multi-function transaction card may receive, from the terminal, information associated with a transaction. The multi-function transaction card may generate, based on the information associated with the transaction, and using a cryptographic key, an authorization request cryptogram (ARQC), wherein the cryptographic key is stored in the secure element. The multi-function transaction card may generate, based on the ARQC, a machine-readable code. The multi-function transaction card may display, using the output device, the machine-readable code.
Systems and methods for verifying users, in connection with transactions using payment devices
Systems and methods for verifying users in connection with transactions are disclosed. One exemplary method includes, in response to a payment device being inserted at a terminal, initiating, by a security chip of the payment device, a timer and capturing, by a biometric sensor of the payment device, a fingerprint while the timer is unexpired. The method also includes verifying, by the security chip, the captured fingerprint against reference fingerprint data stored in memory in the payment device and, in response to the captured fingerprint being verified, while the timer is unexpired, initiating, by the security chip, with the terminal, a transaction to an account using an account number specific to a biometric application of the payment device. An issuer can recognize verification of a user associated with the fingerprint based on the account number in an authorization request, instead of a different account number for the account.
Card device having applets and transfer of APDUS to applets
The invention produces a card device having functional applets and an AID applet, as well as a relaying table that forwards commands addressed to the AID applet to functional applets.
Provisioning of secure application
Methods and devices for provisioning a secure application on an electronic device with first issuer data for a first issuer are described. In an embodiment, the provisioning system receives and stores first issuer records. The example provisioning system receives a provisioning request to provision the secure application with the first issuer data. The provisioning request includes identifying information. The example provisioning system evaluates the provisioning request based on at least one of the first issuer evaluation criteria, the first issuer records and the identifying information in the provisioning request. When the provisioning request satisfies the first issuer evaluation criteria, the example provisioning system generates a signal using the communication module to provide the first issuer data to the electronic device to provision the secure application on the electronic device.
Method and apparatus for configuring security carrier
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for configuring a security carrier, including: adding a carrier batch field to a security carrier list, encoding, for each security carrier in the security carrier list, a plurality of pieces of batch feature information of the security carrier according to a preset encoding rule, so as to generate carrier batch information of each security carrier, and to add same to the security carrier list; and then, according to identifier information and the carrier batch information of each security carrier, configuring a supplementary security domain, a card application, an application installation package and an application provider that need to be preset for each security carrier. Since the carrier batch information contains a plurality of pieces of batch feature information of the security carrier, security carriers in the security carrier list can be effectively distinguished according to the identifier information and the carrier batch information of the security carriers, thus a plurality of preset items that need to be preset for a plurality of security carriers having the same carrier batch information can be configured, so as to improve configuration efficiency for the security carriers.
Methods and systems for integrating a loyalty program with a payment card
Embodiments provide a method of integrating a loyalty program with a payment card of a customer. In some implementations, the method includes sending, by a merchant terminal, a payment transaction request to a server system associated with a payment network. The payment transaction request includes a payment transaction amount to be paid to a merchant account from an issuer account of the customer and a consumer identifier linked to the loyalty program associated with the merchant loyalty card. The method includes receiving a notification comprising a payment transaction approval message and a machine-readable script through the payment network. The machine-readable script comprises the consumer identifier and is executable by the merchant terminal. The method further includes storing the consumer identifier associated with the merchant loyalty card with existing customer data in the payment card of the customer by executing the machine-readable script thereby integrating the loyalty program with the payment card.
Augmented reality card activation experience
Various embodiments are generally directed to enhancing a card activation experience for an authorized card user when activating a new card by at least displaying various types of information related to the new card in augmented reality (AR) and allowing the user to perform the activation itself or experience other aspects of the activation process in AR. Information pertaining the successful activation of the card may also be provided to the user in AR.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PAYMENT OPTION CURATION
Various embodiments describe approaches for maximizing rewards associated with financial accounts for at least one user-defined goal (e.g., a travel benefit, a cashback benefit, a flight benefit, a hotel benefit, a charitable contribution benefit, a return benefit, etc.) For example, a user may submit a request for a portfolio of accounts (e.g., credit card accounts, checking accounts, savings accounts, a combination thereof) to achieve specific goals within a specified time given the user's spending habits, the number of credit card accounts desired, etc. Financial transaction information, reward program terms, banking institution policies, and the like can be obtained and analyzed to determine and present the portfolio of accounts, timing guidelines, and spending guidelines can be generated. Thereafter, rewards earned from purchases of goods and/or services made in accordance with the timing and spending guidelines maximize the rewards earned towards the user's goal for the specified period of time.
Online service providing system and application program
When a user attempts to execute a procedure for transfer or the like from an app, user authentication is first required by a PIN code or the like. When the user authentication is successful, function limitation of an IC chip is released and a mode in which a function provided by the IC chip can be used is set. The app encrypts a procedure message describing procedure content with a private key using the function of the IC chip and creates electronic signature. The electronic signature and the procedure message are transmitted to a server of an online service via an intermediate server. The server executes a procedure of transfer or the like in accordance with the content of the procedure message.
Equity offers based on user actions
In one embodiment, a method includes identifying an equity reward offer to be provided to a user, wherein the equity reward offer corresponds to an amount of equity associated a merchant, and redemption of the equity reward offer causes the corresponding amount of equity to be added to an equity account of the user, updating a redemption status of the equity reward offer based on activity of the specified user on the payment service and a pre-condition of the equity reward offer, such as a purchase associated with the merchant, and upon determining that the pre-condition has been satisfied, sending, to the client device associated with the specified user, instructions to display a notification message indicating that the equity reward offer can be redeemed using the payment account of the user to cause the associated amount of equity to be added to the equity account of the user.
