A receiver receives a command requesting for the execution of predetermined processing. A storage unit stores data and first information indicating, among a plurality of stages in a lifecycle of the information processing apparatus, the current stage determined by the stored data and second information indicating an executable command in the current stage, the executable command being determined for each of the plurality of stages. A determining unit determines on the basis of the first information and the second information whether the command received by the receiver is an executable command in the current stage.
Multi-faced payment card with partitioned dual smart chips and antennae
The disclosed embodiments provide a payment card. The payment card may have a first face and a second face opposite the first. Additionally, the payment card may comprise a first smart chip, the first smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the first face of the card. The payment card may further comprise a first antenna coupled to the first smart chip, the first antenna providing near-field contactless access to the first smart chip and a second smart chip, the second smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the second face of the card. According to one embodiment, a smart card includes a communication unit, recording unit, first reception processor, determination unit, and first transmission processor. The recording unit records data defined by definition information. The first reception processor receives a command from an external terminal. If the first reception processor receives the command, the determination unit determines whether or not data required for execution of the command is stored in the recording unit. If the determination unit determines that the required data is not stored in the recording unit, the first transmission processor transmits a response indicating the start of a session required to acquire data related to that data from the external terminal to the external terminal.
Portable e-wallet and universal card
Universal cards are used in place of all the other traditional cards which a person may want to carry. The universal card can include a short range communications transceiver to communicate with a mobile device. The mobile device can include a user interface and an e-wallet application so that the user can interface with the e-wallet application for programming the universal card via the short range communication link. Once programmed, the universal card emulates a function of a traditional card.
